We are seeking a driven Contractor - DevOps Systems Engineer to join the team! In this role, you will contribute to the development of devices that may have real-world clinical impact. You will collaborate with scientists and engineers to create robust and industrial-strength solutions that efficiently process complex high-resolution images, perform high fidelity feature extraction, DNA sequence analysis and bioinformatic functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Collaborate with a team of software developers, bioinformatic scientists, biochemistry scientists and engineers to enable the delivery of software features
  • Develop and maintain tooling and automation for processes and pipelines
  • Maintain software artifact repositories
  • Integrate and improve test automation frameworks and tooling
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
  • Secure and manage scientific computing infrastructure
  • Develop, monitor and optimize software and hardware solutions

EDUCATION, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with CI/CD, build and software release tools such as Git, Jira or Jenkins, Artifactory
  • Experience scripting in BASH, Powershell, Python, Groovy
  • Experience supporting high-availability systems
  • Experience supporting Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Experience administering virtual machine and bare-metal systems
  • Familiarity with best practices for IT operations
  • Familiarity with high performance compute (HPC) technology
  • Experience developing in C++ or C# a plus
  • Experience with hardware-acceleration libraries a plus
  • BS, MS, or PhD Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • 4+ years of experience in similar industry and role
