Sales Operations Senior Manager, Incentive Compensation Lead (US Remote)

In this vital role the Incentive Compensation (IC) lead will be responsible for designing fair and accurate incentive plans and goals and implementing them in an effective manner. This role will act as a strategic partner with the business leadership and provide strong guidance and recommendations based on analytics to design fair and accurate incentive plans that align with corporate objectives in a legal and compliant manner, and to manage the systems and processes to administer these plans.

Essential responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Work with IC Director, Sales Leadership and Vendor Partners to drive the creation of fair, accurate and motivating incentive plans, goals, awards and contests aligned with corporate objectives

  • Work with HR, Finance, Legal and Compliance (and other functions as needed) to continue to ensure that the IC plan and IC SOP is in accordance with all Amgen policies

  • Manage overall IC plan administration and payouts in a timely manner

  • Manage rollout of IC plans to field in accordance with IC SOP

  • Continue to monitor the health of the IC plan through the plan period through regular health check analyses

  • Make presentations related to the IC plans as needed to sales leadership at HQ as well as during field sales meetings as needed

  • Resolve field queries related around IC data and payouts as needed

  • Develop training materials for new field personnel

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of finance, sales & marketing operations and/or data analytics experience

Or

Masters degree and 4 years of finance, sales & marketing operations and/or data analytics experience

Or

Bachelors degree and 6 years of finance, sales & marketing operations and/or data analytics experience

Or

Associate degree and 10 years of finance, sales & marketing operations and/or data analytics experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of finance, sales & marketing operations and/or data analytics experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience with IC Design and Administration, data management, business analysis, and solution design/development

  • 7+ years of experience solving business problems and analyzing data

  • 5+ years of experience working in Sales Operations or IC/Business Analytics/Intelligence within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry

  • Deep knowledge of Pharmaceutical data including IMS DDD, Xponent data, and charge back data

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the capability to appropriately define issues, questions, and data; to comprehend qualitative and quantitative methods to perform accurate analysis

  • Proven experience, knowledge, and skills related to defining and optimizing reporting and analytical needs, deploying action plans, and determining future capabilities

  • Experience in being comfortable with engaging in strategic discussions about business decisions related to IC with leadership and in making leadership presentations

  • Expertise in Microsoft products Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
