As part of Amgens Process Development organization, MCS continuously strives to be a leader in delivering superior, high quality manufacturing processes and commercially successful product presentations. The MCS organization is responsible for delivery of clinical and commercial products, process knowledge and technology solutions to advance Amgens product portfolio and manufacturing strategy.

The Business Performance & OE group provides multi-dimensional support across Manufacturing & Clinical Supply (MCS) in order to deliver on our product and technology advancement achievements. The MCS Business Performance & OE team is responsible for business performance, strategy, goals, key strategic projects, communications, visualizations, operational excellence, productivity, business resilience, governance, and resource/budget planning.

The MCS team seeks a candidate that will take an active role in advancing MCS goals and business performance, KPIs, visualization and communications to ultimately deliver for patients. Working closely with the Senior Manager for Business Performance, the candidate will have the opportunity to develop and manage key business performance metrics, visualizations, and communications.

The job responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in completing operations activities including Finance, Facilities & Engineering, Safety, Quality and other teams to meet the constantly evolving needs of the business.

  • Metrics Management and Reporting: Oversight of MCS Business Performance, monthly reporting for Business Review and continuously improving smartsheet dashboards

  • Data analysis - Develop presentations based on data and communicate analysis and recommendations to senior management. Perform trend analysis to drive decisions. Support business and resource forecasting, financial modeling

  • Communications - Develop materials for key communications across MCS

Basic Qualifications:

Masters degree


Bachelors degree and 2 years of project management experience


Associates degree and 6 years of project management experience


High school diploma / GED and 8 years of project management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Independent self-starter. Ability to set clear goals and efficient prioritize workload, operate autonomously and deliver timely, high-quality work output and in teams. Understands what it means to own something and be accountable.

  • Strong interest in learning new things, ability to tackle tasks with limited information

  • Ability to foster collaboration, work effectively on cross-functional teams, and consistently deliver timely.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; proven time management and decision-making skills

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Quick learner, proactive, takes initiative.

  • Strong experience with Project Management tools, methodologies, and practices

  • Proven experience in a highly fluid, interactive, matrix environment

  • Experience with MS Office Suite, MS Project, SharePoint, Smartsheet

  • 5 years of project management experience in life science/manufacturing/operations
