The primary responsibility of GRAIL’s MSL: Clinic Channel is to engage, educate, and support ordering providers with the most current clinical, scientific, and health economic materials supporting the clinical value and appropriate utilization of GRAIL’s product(s). This is completed through direct education of health care providers with slides, abstracts, and publications relevant to GRAIL’s products and services, responding to unsolicited questions, participating in the development and creation of educational resources to be deployed in focused events, and identifying opportunities for collaboration on educational projects and other projects of mutual interest.   

The MSL-Clinic Channel partners with the commercial Galleri Sales Consultants to provide necessary and appropriate medical resources to technical decision-makers within the private practice clinic setting. This field-based position facilitates the onboarding of new ordering providers and provides post-positive Galleri Test support. This position will ensure that all interactions and activities in the territories adhere to corporate and healthcare compliance guidance, including those related to clinical trials, scientific interactions with internal and external groups, and responses to unsolicited requests for medical/scientific information. Within GRAIL, the MSL: Clinic Channel will provide clinical support and feedback to various GRAIL functions, including Medical Affairs, Customer Experience Teams, Customer Support Groups, and the Commercial organization. 
You Will:
  • Develop strong, collaborative working relationships with key community physicians, other key physician influencers, and KOL champions (key decision-makers in medical groups, healthcare provider offices, advocacy organizations, and national/regional professional societies focused on the primary care setting) to promote understanding and adoption of the Galleri Multi-Cancer Early Detection Test.
  • Maintain knowledge and be subject matter experts in cancer diagnostic guidelines.
  • Support ordering providers with appropriate and compliant educational materials for Galleri Test post-positive patient journey support.
  • Partner closely with GRAIL’s patient advocate/navigator and Customer Experience team to ensure the best possible experience for providers and patients within the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with GRAIL’s Medical Communication and Marketing teams to support clinical messaging in developing customer-facing materials related to Galleri use.
  • Through external engagements with HCPs, elicit, capture and document actionable insights relevant to GRAIL strategy.
  • Maintain clinical, scientific, and technical expertise related to GRAIL’s products.
  • Participate in local, regional, and national meetings as necessary to support scientific and medical objectives.
  • Summarize and communicate complex medical messages and position them in the best possible manner to enable clear and concise understanding by both external audiences and partners within GRAIL.
  • Critically review and educate key personnel on relevant new publications and research findings.
  • Engage in continuous learning, actively attend and participate in upskilling training programs, utilize appropriate resources to stay current with the scientific literature (e.g., conducting regular literature searches and library research), participate in various internal and external clinical and scientific education programs, meetings, presentations and other forums that provide in-depth clinical and operational expertise and insights regarding GRAILs products, therapeutic area(s), as well as business-related topics relevant to the therapeutic area(s).
  • Be fluent in the value-based scientific information associated with GRAIL’s products from a physician's perspective in the Primary Care setting.
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs leads as a clinical resource to the Sales & Marketing team for sales team training, medical updates, scientific presentations, journal clubs, teleconferences, and meetings as requested.

Your Background Should Include:
  • Advanced scientific degree (MS in Genetic Counseling, Ph.D., NP, RN, or equivalent degree), experience in oncology, genomics, diagnostics, cfDNA-based applications, or similar applied medical fields is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of industry experience as a diagnostics or pharmaceutical Medical Science Liaison OR a minimum of 3 years of clinical oncology experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience as an MSL in introducing novel new clinical products and expertise with MCED desired.
  • Ability to apply advanced knowledge of GRAIL’s product specifications
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining a strong teamwork ethic
  • Flexible to changes in an ever-changing dynamic environment
  • Ability to work on simultaneous tasks in a high-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills, good attention to detail, time management skills, learning mindset, open to training and becoming an expert across customer types
  • Excellent communication skills; professional maturity, confidence, and competence
  • Outstanding oral presentation skills
  • Highly developed written skills, the ability to produce documents for dissemination both inside and outside the organization for presentations, and technical briefs
  • Ability to elicit and answer clinical questions in groups ranging from individuals to larger didactic roundtables and meetings
  • Ability to address high-level experts in the scientific field at company-sponsored events and scientific conferences
  • Extensive travel required to meet with KOLs and attend physician education talks and conferences, including scientific meetings (will require some weekend work). Travel is estimated to be approximately 60%.
