APT is looking for a hands-on, innovative, and collaborative Senior Manager, Information Technology (IT) to be the primary driver of key IT initiatives as the company grows and evolves. Reporting to the Vice President, Finance & Administration, the Senior Manager, IT is responsible for providing a vision for APT's long-term systems needs to support operations and achieve business objectives. Handles multiple applications, systems, network, and/or telecommunications activities. Manages information systems throughout the organization. May include programming, analysis, networking, data processing, and/or administration responsibilities. Resolves technical problems. Researches and recommends technology. Coordinates information system priorities.

  • Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes, identifying problems, and anticipating organizational requirements
  • Manage the implementation, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of all IT systems, domains, and networks, including servers, routers, gateways, remote access, PC/MAC, operating systems, database administration, hardware, software, peripherals, Internet or Intranet devices, phone systems and connections.
  • Provide support to end users in the selection, procurement, usage, and maintenance of software programs and hardware including new equipment setup.
  • Recommend, design, and implement IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
  • Develop, maintain, and test disaster recovery plan, including regularly evaluating and documenting current system readiness, and report results and recommendations to management.
  • Responsible for asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment including technology contracts.

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, MIS, or similar field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, Azure, CompTIA professional certifications
  • 8+ years of working experience in IT
  • Strong knowledge of network architecture/topologies, computer software and hardware; knowledge of data communications, security and threat remediation, network planning and analysis; and vendor evaluations.
  • Excellent documentation skills, assets & inventory, configurations, and following written company processes
  • Physical ability to move desktop, server items when needed
  • Intermediate to Advanced comprehension of file servers and folder permissions
  • Networking and security principles
  • Server virtualization, storage, and backups
  • Cloud-based services and applications (M365, AWS)
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination required; APT employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to work on the premises.
