This senior level HR Business Partner role will be a member of the R&pD HR Business Partner team, and an embedded member of the RGC Leadership Team. The RGC focuses on early gene discovery and functional genomics to improve patient outcomes by identifying novel drug targets, clinical indications for development programs, and genomic biomarkers for pharmacogenomic applications.  This HR Business Partner works collaboratively with the HR Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Organization Effectiveness, People Analytics and Reporting, Total Rewards and HR Operations) to understand the strengths and the gaps across the R&pD related functions and ensure HR can create programs and solutions that meet their business needs.  HRBPs develop solutions to solve business challenges in order to increase their ability to deliver on their every day goal—utilizing science to bring new medicines to patients.

As a Director, HR Business Partner, a typical day might include the following:

  • Advising RGC leaders, managers and employees on organizational and people related issues such as talent acquisition and talent development, change management, employee engagement, employee relations, performance management, organization design and effectiveness.
  • Promoting and maintaining RGC’s high-performance culture.
  • Working in coordination with the HR Centers of Excellence to ensure HR can create programs and solutions to meet RGC business needs.

To be considered for this opportunity you must have a bachelor’s degree, MBA or Master's in Organization Development or HR is preferred along with at least 12 years' of HR experience within pharma/biotech/high tech industry. Candidates should bring a demonstrated track record of taking initiative and the ability to prioritize the essential over the non-essential. Must have comfort in openly negotiating and influencing others, demonstrating courage and the ability to effectively push back with leaders with data driven rationale.  Can identify the “third way” that can meet all party’s needs. Significant understanding of HR legal & compliance requirements is required.
