Training and Development Specialist

ImmunityBio, Inc. is a late-stage immunotherapy company developing next-generation therapies that drive immunogenic mechanisms for defeating cancer and infectious disease. The company’s immunotherapy platform is designed to activate both the innate (natural killer cell and macrophage) and adaptive (T cell) immune systems to create long-term “immunological memory.”

Position Summary

The Training and Development Specialist will create, develop, implement, and conduct training and development programs for employees. Partners with subject matter experts to provide learning solutions.

Essential Functions

• Conducts training and development needs assessments through surveys, interviews, and communication with managers and human resources partners.
• Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees as well as managers.
• Develops unique training programs to fulfill organization’s specific needs to maintain or enhance skillsets.
• Designs and develops training presentations, guides, and course materials.
• Presents training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos.
• Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
• Collects and analyzes metrics to determine program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
• Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
• Creates and maintains an environment of inclusion, trust and respect.
• Ensure desktop procedures are developed, maintained and adhered to by the team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, or a related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred
• 4+ years of training experience required
• Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or other related talent development certification preferred

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Strong Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with all levels of management
• Strong presentation skills necessary to facilitate training and/or deliver informational sessions to groups and/or individuals
• Strong time management and organizational skills necessary to manage multiple projects, appropriately prioritize workload, plan for resources to meet deadlines and goals, and respond to day-to-day functional needs
• Ability to build effective relationships built on trust, respect and collaboration
• Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
• Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
• Ability to design and implement effective training and development Knowledge and experience with survey tools and techniques
