Position

Reporting to the Director of Procurement & Supply Chain, the Demand Planning Manager will be an integral part of our growing team partnering with internal stakeholders to develop proactive demand plans for the materials and services needs for our various functions to meet Eikon’s research and operations goals and outcomes.

 What You’ll Do

Collaborative Demand Planning and Fulfillment

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to establish a process and cadence for periodic material demand planning
  • Own the releasing of purchase planning and work order messages to procurement
  • Support the creation of visibility to material position (inventory and burn rate) to internal stakeholders

Quantitative Analysis and Materials Requirements Planning (MRP)

  • Create appropriate forecasting models for key material needs using inputs from internal stakeholders
  • Develop and assign relevant quantitative features (e.g. Safety Stock, Re-Order Points, Min-Max levels) to key materials as needed to prioritize supply continuity and minimize waste
  • Advise cross-functional teams on effective material classification (A/B/C) strategies

Data, Reports, and System Management

  • Assist with the implementation of ERP, P2P, and PLM system implementations
  • Support the maintenance of accurate system configuration and master data elements
  • Support the creation of Long Range Planning (LRP) process with Finance

 Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of relevant procurement or materials management experience with emphasis on demand planning, sales and operations planning (S&OP), or integrated business planning (IBP) preferably in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
  • Understanding of supply and production planning fundamentals, scheduling, material requirements planning techniques and manufacturing control systems
  • Functional knowledge of various qualitative and quantitative forecasting methodologies
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, data science, or other related field
  • Functional knowledge of GMP, quality assurance, budget planning, and clinical operations for biological and chemical pharmaceuticals, tools, and instruments beneficial
  • Basic knowledge of purchasing principles and limiting factors (e.g. MOQ, EOQ, UOM)
  • Strong demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office, ERP/MRP System, P2P, PLM, and other similar enterprise tools
  • Strong communication skills and ability to develop creative solutions for business challenges
