Working with Pfizer’s dynamic engineering team, you will play a critical part in managing the maintenance and reliability engineering activities involving the redesign, maintenance, and repair of utilities systems, buildings, and production/non-production equipment.

Your prior work experience and ability to apply your breadth of knowledge will help you adapt the standard methods and procedures. You will help us identify required delivery and process improvements that drive increased efficiency, throughput and quality. You will arrive at decisions on which methods and procedures are the best fit for different work situations.

How You Will Achieve It
  • The Maintenance Mechanic - 2 will provide maintenance support to production suites and support areas at the Andover site. Individual will operate and perform daily checks on Direct and Indirect Production Maintenance equipment and assist other groups with repairs in compliance with company and departmental SOPs. Individual will work in a fast-paced, safety-oriented team environment and will perform tasks that are routine in nature with minimal supervision. The Individual will maintain records to comply with Good Manufacturing Practice requirements to include detailed documentation of work performed in both electronic and written form. Individual will provide Engineering support with projects related to production manufacturing. Manage own time and professional development, accountable for own results and prioritize own workflow Routine performance of preventative maintenance on process support systems and equipment including but not limited to Pumps, Valves, Autoclaves, Centrifuges, Reactors, Tanks, HPLC Columns, Ultrafiltration skids, Microfiltration skids, and CIP Systems. Utilizes CMMS to manage the repair of process support and plant systems and equipment.
Qualifications

Must-Have
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 4 + years of Maintenance/ manufacturing experience.
  • Excellent computer user skills.
  • Functional or Technical Knowledge of basic discipline and hand tools.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound interpersonal, decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to perform all work in a safe manner.
Nice-to-Have
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Pharmaceutical and/or Bio-Pharmaceutical experience and knowledge of {Current} Good Manufacturing Practices {part of GxP} operations.


PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Should be able to climb a ladder, reach, bend, and lift loads up to 50lbs.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

• Incumbent will be required to carry a phone device, laptop computer and be on call as required to support operations and participate in off-hour emergency coverage as needed.
