Job Details
- Performs complex EDC study build activities.
- May perform basic programming activities outside of Rave.
- Assist with the creation of listings and reports using reporting and business intelligence tools.
- Work independently on multiple concurrent projects.
- Lead contract resources as a project / team leader in a distributed resource model.
- Ensures completeness, correctness and consistency of eCRF design, data extracts and listings, and data structure.
- Intermediate proficiency in two or more relevant programming languages or supporting technologies (e.g. SAS®, SQL, C#, Visual Basic, Perl, Business Objects, Custom Function programming).
- Intermediate knowledge of the clinical trial process, relational database concepts, data structures, and best practices.
- Intermediate proficiency in study development and edit check programming within relevant EDC system(s).
- Works with greater independence and proactively anticipates the next steps for his/her work.
- Subject matter expert in at least one task performed by the EDC programming group. For example- data extracts, web services, reporting, or script writing.
- Demonstrates an ability to act as lead on several studies and/or projects concurrently.
- Demonstrates a developing ability to recognize, analyze and mitigate risks proactively.
- Demonstrates solid but developing written and verbal communication skills.
- Continued completion of Medidata Rave and other relevant training/certifications or clearly demonstrates equivalent knowledge and proficiency.
- Serves as a mentor to other EDC Programmers and/or a Subject Matter Expert for study teams and/or the EDC Programming group.
- Ability to lead cross-functional meetings, reviews, and project teams.
- Able to explain the data flow and implications of the process.
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attend a conference or class related to Clinical/EDC programming, SAS, eCTD. Works toward Medidata Rave or similar EDC system certification.

Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree and at least 3+ years of experience.
- MS/MA degree and at least 2+years of experience.
