The Role

Reporting to the Associate Director Supply Chain Systems, the Principal Systems Engineer, SAP CMC, will implement and support SAP S/4 PP/QM/MM/LE functionality along with integration of S/4 HANA with 3rd parties application (MES / LIMS / Ariba SCC) across a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This position will play a key role in supporting the Supply Chain systems strategy and will collaborate cross functionally to align data, processes and technology throughout the deployment of solutions.

Heres What Youll Do

  • Be the key point of contact for internal and external quality, internal and external manufacturing

  • Techno functional expertise in SAP S/4 QM, PP, LE and MM modules to configure and maintain world class integrations to meet current requirements and emerging pharmaceutical supply chain challenges

  • Possess expert knowledge in quality release processes for internal manufacturing, as well as external process (subcontracting process in SAP)

  • Perform business analysis and SAP ERP S/4 system support of quality, supply and manufacturing business units in a fast-paced clinical drug manufacturing environment.

  • Implement solutions within SAP S/4 system to improve internal / external quality and manufacturing processes

  • Support data analysis, program debugging and report writing.

  • Write business design documents, functional specs, configuration specs and test scripts

  • Implement SAP projects to drive continuous improvement.

  • Observe and evaluate industry trends and benchmark operations against industry standards and make recommendations on best practices

Heres What Youll Need (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the design, configuration and testing of solutions across an SAP system

  • Experience in an FDA regulated environment such as Pharma/Medical device.

Heres What Youll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience with drug product serialization and serialization software

  • Experience in the following submodules highly preferred

    • Manufacturing and Quality (PP-PI and QM)

      • Integration with LIMS (LabVantage)

    • Material Management (MM) & Inventory management (IM)

    • EWM and/or WM / HUM SAP modules

  • Familiarity of SAP S/4

  • Experience with proposing functional solutions to developers when writing functional specs.

  • Experience engaging with regulatory business stakeholder or regulatory agencies.

  • Familiarity with the technical integration between SAP and partner systems using middleware applications exchanging data with standards such as EDI and EPCIS
