Pfizer’s Hematology portfolio is a leader in Leukemia with inlineproducts in ALL, AML and CML including Besponsa,Daurismo, Mylotarg and Bosulif. Pfizer’s hematology portfolio has expanded to include our B-Cell Maturation antigen (BCMA) targeted bi-specific antibody for the treatment of multiple myeloma.

Multiple Myeloma is highly prevalent with substantialmortality (66%) and high rate of relapse on therapies currently considered Standard of Care. This role provides a unique opportunity to join Pfizer’s Hematology team as we build in this new therapeutic area and bring this treatment to patients.

The US Patient Experience Multiple Myeloma Director will lead development of theUS patient experience strategic vision and go-to-market model and lead development and execution of effective US patient strategies, messaging, tactics and metrics. Responsibilities include developing and leading initiativesto address healthcare disparities impacting the multiple myeloma community as well as innovative marketing programs that will drive both acquisition and retention.

The role requires strong strategic, communication and analytical thinking as well as creativity, judgment, and decision-making skills. This team operates in an environment that embraces and encourages innovative ideas and creates a culture of supportiveness and teamwork. This individual needs to manage multiple priorities, have attention to detail, collaborate across the enterprise, and learn from and improve upon existing processes or develop/implement new processes, where appropriate.Executive presence, situation/organizational awareness, and negotiation skills are imperative for success.


· Develop US patient experience strategic vision and go-to-market model and lead development and execution of effective US patient outreach, messaging, tactics and metrics

· Provide strategic leadership in development and execution of launch plan to address healthcare disparities in underserved populations

· Lead media strategy, budget and plan across all channels including print, digital and point of care

· Lead patient experience marketing analytics plan; monitoring key metrics to evaluate the implementation and ROI of key patient experience marketing initiatives and optimize learnings

· Collaborate with cross functional colleagues to identify and rollout resources through patient services HUB

· Represent Pfizer in multiple Patient Experience initiatives through partnering with Corporate Affairs, Gov’t Relations, and Advocacy Alliances

· Ensure appropriate synergies and alignment of patient experience marketing plans with HCP strategy and tactical plans

· Coordinate and align work across cross-functional and marketing colleagues, agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure strategic and tactical alignment


  • 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech marketing

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Proven track record of building and leading high functioning teams

  • Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs, extracting key insights, and translating these into meaningful value propositions and tactics

  • Proven ability to generate deep, targeted customer insights and integrate into business decisions.

  • Ability to navigate internal organization/ processes to achieve endorsement of innovative approaches

  • Demonstrated track record of achievement and of influencing business outcomes across diverse functional boundaries, even without direct reporting relationships

  • Ability to translate strategy and analysis to a tactical, executable level to drive brand performance

  • Strong team player with demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate with experts from a wide range of cross-functional areas

  • Strong business acumen with excellent communication skills for a wide variety of audiences, including senior management

  • High-energy, proactive self-starter who has the initiative to function autonomously and the confidence and ingenuity to initiate, create and innovate

  • Strong analytical skills; detail and action oriented; creative.

  • Consumer marketing experience strongly preferred

  • Oncology experience preferred

  • Brand launch experience strongly preferred

  • MBA degree preferred


20% travel expected
