ROLE SUMMARY

Pfizer’s mRNA portfolio is committed to bringing the latest mRNA technologies to market, thereby helping to protect vulnerable populations and prevent avoidable disease. Pfizer’s Comirnaty vaccine leveraged the mRNA platform to bring a COVID-19 vaccine to populations around the world in record time. Ensuring that the promise of the mRNA platform can be leveraged for other preventable diseases is a priority for Pfizer.

The Contracting and Retail Innovation lead develops strategy and innovative models for contracting globally, facilitating transition to commercial market. This role focuses on developing innovative strategies and frameworks for partnerships and retail to expand patient access to Comirnaty. Develops contracting models for IDNs and GPOs in the US and innovation on Hybrid Govt/Private contracts Ex-US.​ This role will also be responsible to create strategy for facilitating increased reach to retail channel, as retail will play a large role in driving new contracts, which will be crucial to the franchise. This role will collaborate closely with US Comirnaty Lead, Vaccine Customer marketing lead, Antiviral Retail Strategy and partnership lead and Retail team within Customer engagement platform and contracting roles within EM and IDM Commercial offices to coordinate execution of contracting and retail strategy

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build a strong contracting and retail innovation team that can help to build key relationships along the retail value chain while modeling our Values of Courage, Excellence, Equity and Joy
  • Develop strategy and innovative models for contracting globally, facilitating transition to commercial market.
  • Develop innovative strategies and frameworks for partnerships and retail to expand patient access to Comirnaty.
  • Develop contracting models for IDNs and GPOs in the US and innovation on Hybrid Govt/Private contracts Ex-US.
  • Create strategy for facilitating increased reach to retail channel
  • Collaborate closely with US Comirnaty Lead, Vaccine Customer marketing lead, Antiviral Retail Strategy and partnership lead and Retail team within Customer engagement platform and contracting roles within EM and IDM Commercial offices to coordinate execution of contracting and retail strategy
  • Lead the development of relevant educational material on mRNA technologies to cater to retail channel key stakeholders, working with them to ensure mutual goals are met
  • Ensure deep understanding of drivers of successful engagement with retail channel, particularly in new technologies
  • Attract, engage, coach and develop the best talent Develop and maintain strong relationships with all key regions and functions, including but not limited to medical, research, PGS, legal, finance, and regulatory.
  • Participate and contribute as an active, enterprise leader within the Primary Care Business Unit

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 10 years of successful marketing/commercial experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably at the global and local levels
  • Country Experience and/or US market experience is highly preferred
  • Experience with innovation in contracting and retail preferred
  • Demonstrated strategic marketing and analytical thinking skills
  • Prior launch experience highly desired
  • Experience in working successfully in a highly competitive environment strongly desired
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams through setting a common vision and purpose, influence, and persuasion
  • An absolute commitment to adherence to all applicable compliance rules and regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work on multiple tasks with a strong sense of urgency and enthusiasm while prioritizing and meeting team goals
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead others through times of change
  • mRNA experience preferred, but not required
  • Vaccines experience preferred, but not required
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to travel approximately 30% - 50% of the time
