the opportunity
Entrada is hiring for a Fermentation Co-op position to join the Company’s intracellular biologics discovery programs. This individual will work very closely with Fermentation scientists in the Upstream group to progress discovery and development programs. The successful candidate will execute deep well, shake flask, fermentation, and primary recovery operations for the purification of recombinant proteins. By the end of the co-op training, the candidate will gain hands-on laboratory experience and solid practical understanding of upstream operations involved in the production of recombinant proteins.

To thrive on our team, you will need to come with:
- A bachelor's degree in biochemistry, biochemical engineering, biotechnology or a related field with prior experience in R&D laboratory
- Knowledge and use of molecular biology and biochemistry techniques
- Experience working with E. coli, Pichia pastoris expression systems for expression of recombinant proteins
- Experience with primary recovery operations such as centrifugation, homogenization
- Strong communication skill (oral and written) and ability to work effectively across functions
- Desire to work in an innovative and collaborative environment pursuing high reward science
