The Role:

Graphite Bio is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to help advance and broaden the therapeutic impact of our stem cell transplantation and gene therapy programs. The individual will contribute to protein purification efforts, to support our antibody discovery projects. The ideal candidate will have technical experience in protein purification via protein A, protein G, and/or affinity tags, protein purification and/or analytics via SEC, CIEX, DSF, SDS-PAGE, and other standard techniques. Ideally, the candidate has experience in antibody purification. This individual will work with a cross-functional team to enable drug development from discovery through to IND.

What You Will Do:

  • Execute and troubleshoot protocols to establish SOPs for purification of proteins.
  • Purify proteins for in vitro and in vivo assessment
  • Perform analytical assessment of proteins
  • Interpret and analyze scientific data and communicate findings internally and externally, supporting regulatory submissions and intellectual property
  • Demonstrate excellence consistent with Graphite Bio’s core values, including leading with science, attracting and retaining top key talent critical to business success, and developing team members

What You Will Bring:

  • B.S. in molecular biology, biochemistry or related field with 1+ years industry experience
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Experience in industry drug discovery a plus, especially with cell transfection/protein production and antibody purification
  • Entrepreneurial behaviors demonstrated by agility, accountability, transparency, resourcefulness, and ability to get things done
  • Ability to quickly learn new skills and knowledge on the job, demonstrate productivity, and deliver high-quality results
