What you will do

Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role, you will be part of the Research Benchtop team that is charged with supporting the daily operations within Research laboratories, supporting hardware and software, developing automation, and working in a highly regulated environment. You will work with scientists, vendors, software developers, and the Research Benchtop team to create technology solutions in the laboratories with a focus on Information Protection, Lab Automation, and Innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the Research Benchtop team to implement technology solutions to support the Research Benchtop organization.

  • Provide critical thinking and strategic direction to resolve significant technical challenges in support of Research Benchtop and our scientific community

  • Play a critical role in implementing transformational automation solutions in support of Information Protection for the Research Benchtop team and our scientific community

  • Own the technical scope in partnership with Product Owners, establish product roadmap & prioritized backlog, and deliver outcomes working in an agile software development environment for the Lab Automation and Innovation Product teams

Basic Qualifications

  • Masters degree (or)

  • Bachelors degree & 2 years of experience in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering (or)

  • Associate degree & 6 years of experience in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering (or)

  • High school diploma / GED & 8 years of experience in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong customer focus with ability to work closely with customers to manage the resolution of issues in line with customer expectations

  • Strong Project Management and Business Analyst skills

  • Strong experience with complex Excel spreadsheets and Smartsheet

  • Dedicated team player who can effectively collaborate with colleagues in multiple locations on complex tasks and develop designs and strategies to address common problems within the benchtop support domain

  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification.

  • Experience with SAFe concepts including Lean-Agile Mindset, SAFe Core Values, SAFe Principles, Scrum, Built-In Quality practices from Extreme Programming (XP) and Work in Process (WIP) limits from Kanban.

  • Experience with Atlassian products such as Jira, Confluence or Azure DevOps.

  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills and ability to communicate technical ideas in common terms to business & technology partners

  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects/activities with competing priorities
