ImmunityBio, Inc. is a late-stage immunotherapy company developing next-generation therapies that drive immunogenic mechanisms for defeating cancer and infectious disease. The company’s immunotherapy platform is designed to activate both the innate (natural killer cell and macrophage) and adaptive (T cell) immune systems to create long-term “immunological memory.”

POSITION SUMMARY

ImmunityBio, Inc. is developing cell and immunotherapy products that are designed to help strengthen each patient’s natural immune system, potentially enabling it to outsmart the disease and eliminate cancerous or infected cells.

Project managers serve a strategic role within an organization’s project management group. They manage individual projects within a larger program. The Project Manager is responsible for managing projects from initiation through delivery.They follow standard project management methodology (including tools, systems, and applications), and ensure all project documentation is kept up to date and communicated to the Program Manager on a timely basis.Project Managers report to Program Managers within the Program Management office.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage and lead project teams to determine and define project scope and objectives

  • Responsible for overall coordination, and status reporting

  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner

  • Work with the functional heads to develop and track project budgets based on the scope of work and resource requirements

  • Develop and present a detailed project schedule and work plan

  • Responsible for project documentation such as business requirements for project charter

  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress

  • Facilitate project team meetings, create agenda and minutes

  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables

  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project execution to drive team deliverables

  • Assess project issues and areas of risk and informing Program Management to help develop mitigation plans

  • Escalate issues when they impact timeline, scope, quality, or budget

  • Prepare and distribute project updates to Program Management

  • Contributes to the functional excellence of Project Management

  • Participates in the development and continuous improvement of processes, procedures, tools, and project management practices

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • BA/BS degree preferably in Engineering or Science

  • 2-5 years of solid Project Management experience

  • Project Management related work in Engineering or Science in the Biopharma or other highly regulated industry is preferred.

  • Practical knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices, and change management techniques.

  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Project, Monday.com, SmartSheets, OneNote, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe, Visio, and/or other project management software.

  • PMP Certification preferred or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum

  • Six Sigma, Lean, Change Management Certification preferred.

  • Excellent written/oral communication skills as well as strong organizational and multi-tasking skills

  • Strong experience facilitating project team meetings, cross-functional communication, and decision making, and ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Sound judgment, problem-solving, matrix management, and collaboration in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions to problems.

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed organization.
