SUMMARY:
The Associate Director, Marketing will lead the execution of HCP marketing activities as it relates to pulling through the HCP strategy for Vyepti. This individual will also drive brand execution and performance across key HCP marketing work streams within the team, in collaboration with cross-functional partners, and through his or her own projects. This individual will have overall accountability for translating brand strategy into tactical planning in a highly competitive new product environment.   The individual will potentially lead one direct report with responsibility for their development through performance management, individual development plans and growth of their marketing capabilities.  


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
People Leadership
•    Potentially manage a small team, overseeing their work and tactical execution
•    Lead, manage, coach and motivate direct report(s)
•    Drive alignment within the marketing team, the review process and communication between team members


HCP Marketing Strategy Support
•    Develop a deep understanding of HCP audiences and leverage market research to inform strategic and tactical plans
•    Proactively consider and identify new programs/initiatives to challenge the team’s thinking and raise the level of performance
•    Work collaboratively with direct report(s), customer experience team, cross-functional teams, to implement and monitor performance of tactics


HCP Marketing Execution
•    Drive pull-through and execution of brand HCP strategy utilizing sound marketing principles, analytics and available market research
•    Responsible for oversight of the HCP AOR and overall HCP agency coordination 
•    Creates and draws actionable insights from HCP market research plan
•    Works with peers, leadership and finance to manage HCP brand marketing budget 
•    Work closely with manager to create a tactical plan and budget that will allow for execution of the annual brand strategy
•    Develop marketing collateral (personal and non-personal) in alignment with brand objectives
•    Work with manager to lead the annual HCP brand planning process, including development of HCP related objectives and measures
•    Supports/influences vendor selection and management of vendors for HCP marketing
•    Track and monitor key performance indicators
•    Ensure all marketing projects are compliant and have obtained necessary approvals through the appropriate medical, legal, and regulatory process


Cross-Functional Collaboration and Influence
•    Effectively implement promotional materials and programs by supporting sales training and the field organization
•    Collaborate with sales leadership, sales training and the sales teams, as well as other cross-functional groups, to communicate brand strategies, ensure all groups are aligned with the brand critical success factors, and monitor the progress of the brand

•    Partner with medical, legal and regulatory affairs, customer experience and consumer teams, corporate communications to communicate reasons for strategic and tactical plans obtain concept buy-in before developing a new initiative, and working collaboratively to successfully launch initiatives

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:
•    Accredited Bachelor's Degree
•    8+ years sales, marketing or other relevant commercial or analytical experience
•    4+ years pharmaceutical/medical/healthcare product brand marketing or other pharmaceutical/medical/healthcare product commercial leadership experience, including prior experience Marketing to HCPs
•    Proven ability to be agile and pivot approach and/or thinking quickly as needed
•    Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
•    Strong leadership skills as well as having the ability to work independently with minimal direction
•    Proven ability to influence and align others to drive brand prioritization
•    Strong knowledge of, and experience with managing operational budgets and plans


PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
•    
MBA or master’s degree
•    People leadership experience with direct reports in pharma marketing, sales, or commercial function
•    Experience and knowledge of U.S. marketing and brand management
•    Infusion sales or marketing experience where various sites of care are utilized (i.e. in-office infusions, ASOCs, home infusion, etc.…) 
•    Neurology, pain and/or migraine experience
•    Product launch or indication expansion experience particularly in a crowded therapeutic category
•    Experience managing performance of an in-market, promoted brand
•    Background in biosciences as demonstrated on the job or through educational training
•    Knowledge of the AMA, ACCME, PhRMA and FDA regulations associated with promotion and industry-supported scientific education activities


TRAVEL:
•    Willingness/Ability to travel approximately 30% domestically; international travel may be required

 

The range displayed is a national range, and if selected for this role, may vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s geographical location, qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. Salary Pay Range: $150,000 - $200,000 and eligibility for a 20% bonus target based on company and individual performance, and eligibility to participate in the company’s long-term incentive plan.
