SUMMARY:   This position supports business development, proposal management, and other initiatives of the company by providing support to the Marketing and Business Development Team and CEO in the areas of: proposal writing/editing, and ad hoc project-related documents and activities related to the timely submission of proposals.  Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

Support the Marketing and Business Development Team in identifying potential business development prospects using existing processes and/or defines new approaches to relationship building to acquire new business and tracks relationships using business development lead tracking software, as requested.

Prepares slides, agendas, and documents discussions detailing clients’ needs to ensure an efficient start to the proposal development process.

Drafts Confidentiality Agreements and Master Services Agreements as directed by Marketing and Business Development Team and/or CEO.

Creates and manages the proposal submission process ensuring accurate, high quality and on-time submission to potential clients. 

Drives the meeting of proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and timelines for information gathering, writing, review, and final approval.  Keeps team members up-to-date on proposal status information and applicable deadlines.

Collaborates with Technical Lead/Project Lead to draft proposal content by assembling information including client background, project scope (i.e., tasks, deliverables, assumptions), timelines, resource information (i.e., bios, CVs and relevant experience) and budget.

In conjunction with Sr. Marketing & Business Development Team and Technical Team, assembles proposal package for final internal review by conducting formatting and grammar review and electronically collating main document.

Maintains proposal quality by using approved templates; follows proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone; and maintains historical proposal support database to ensure consistent processes are demonstrated at all times.

Schedules and conducts post-submission evaluations with Innovenn team to improve proposal writing results.  This may require redesigning processes, approach, coordination, and boilerplates. Ensures prompt implementation of approved changes.

Maintains records and files of work and revisions ensuring compliance with all established Innovenn SOPs.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

Liaisons with identified team members in collecting all available data, specifications and any pertinent information regarding each assignment to ensure accurate and timely deliverables.

Conducts research and analysis upon request of Marketing and Business Development Team and/or CEO.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

BS/BA degree with a minimum of 1-2 years experience in technical writing and business development.    

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex and technical theory and information in an understandable manner.  Strong technical background with advanced computer skills.  Ability to work independently and aptitude to develop and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Ability to work effectively under deadlines and juggle several assignments simultaneously.
