We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Research Operations group to support DNA Core, Automation, Molecular Profiling Data Science, and the Bioinformatic Core Services.   The candidate will be operating as a liaison across multiple TFA’s and Tech Centers as well as internal collaborators, external customers, research IT, legal and contract department.

As a Senior Operations Associate, a typical day might include:

  • Facilitating coordination between various internal groups such as DNA Core, Automation, TFA’s, Molecular Profiling Data Science, BiCS and R-IT.

  • Developing and implementing processes to improve efficiency in workflow.

  • Identifying and understanding key pain-points in the pipeline and developing various solutions to improve efficiency.

  • Fostering strong working relationships with key stakeholders on project and/or program teams and across departments.

  • Coordinating scientific analysis of clinical and pre-clinical samples, as well as manage a tracking system for internal and external collaborator samples entering the Molecular Profiling group.

  • Gathering and compiling scientific data for submission to support patent filings and contract for various groups.

  • Overseeing operational management of multiple databases.

  • Maintaining multiple projects and priorities while understanding potential down-stream impacts on other functions and teams.

To be considered for this role, you must possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.  The ideal person has previous lab experience that they can leverage in this role. You should have a background in Biology, knowledge of computer packages, technical skills, programing skills, Confluence, Jira, IDEAS Database, SLIMS, SharePoint, Microsoft Office, Outlook, FileMaker Pro.  You should also be proficient in database management. You should ideally have a process and programing background to support developing and managing a tracking system to facilitate coordination of submission and analysis of samples of clinical and pre-clinical, as well as internal and external collaborator samples.
