R&D Associate (Cell Culture for Therapeutic Antibody Discovery)

Regeneron's Protein Expression Sciences group is seeking a motivated Research Associate to join our human antibody isolation team which contributed to the development of Regeneron’s Sars-Cov2 antibody cocktail (REGEN-COV). You will play an integral part in the identification of antibodies to treat diseases with unmet medical needs. The primary functions of this position are the isolation of monoclonal antibodies from human donors against diverse disease targets (eg. infections, immune disorders, etc) and the development of new antibody isolation technologies.

A Typical Day May Include:

• Isolating PBMCs from human peripheral blood
• Performing cell enrichment, cell culture, antibody staining and phenotypic characterization
• Conducting and analyzing multicolor flow-cytometry experiments
• Optimizing and carrying out functional assays such as ELISA
• Performing molecular biology experiments, including DNA/RNA purification, RT-PCR and molecular cloning
• Analyzing and presenting data in a team-based setting
• Maintaining complete, accurate, and timely records of experiments and data analysis
• Contributing to lab equipment maintenance and ordering supplies/reagents to help create a safe, effective, and efficient working environment

To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of MS or BS+2 years of experience in Immunology, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field. Level will be commensurate with experience. We are looking for someone with hands-on technical experience in cell culture and/or PBMC isolation. Knowledge of flow cytometry is highly desired, but training can be provided if necessary. Experience with functional assays (ELISA, ELISPOT) and molecular biology techniques (DNA/RNA/qRT-PCR, cloning) is a plus.
