Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies U.S.A., Inc. is offering a summer internship.  The successful candidates will have completed their sophomore or junior year or higher. We offer a supportive, collaborative teaching environment to develop our Interns' skills and identify their career goals. This is a great opportunity to gain invaluable experience working for an industry-leading biopharmaceutical contract manufacturing organization.  This position will be within Program Design, a global team concerned with reviewing requests from potential customers, identifying the specific needs and designing a program of work to match which is presented in a proposal document to the customer. Interactions with the sales team and the delivery teams are common to ensure that programs presented to customers can be delivered successfully, on time and with a profit.  The project identified relates to a growing service offering at Fujifilm Diosynth: Drug Product manufacture. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for defining standard sections of critical program design tools such as the proposal template and cost model. Information on standard will be collected from various inputting departments, collated and presented. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate clearly by email and video calls with members of other teams across sites as well as be creative with solutions.  The ideal candidate for this role is a student pursuing a scientific degree (chemistry, biochemistry, etc.) with an interest in laboratory data science and management and should have a working knowledge of Excel or similar spreadsheet software. The ideal candidate can also be a student pursuing a scientific or business degree with an interest in the sales process and scientific documentation writing.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have completed sophomore year or higher of college
  • Must be majoring in Life Science or Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering disciplines
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
