The Architect will be part of agile P2P product team delivering solution towards Finance Digital Transformation initiative to evolve how Amgen manages the end-to-end Finance contract to close process feeding into our planning systems to have a closed loop. This role will deploy groundbreaking solutions across Amgen globally. Are you a seasoned technologist that enjoys collaborating with business partners to enable a more connected enterprise? Job Responsibilities May Include:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Sourcing, Procure to Pay, Accounting, Tax, and Corporate services partners by providing insights that drive increased automation
  • Collaborate with business users to understand and document business requirements, hands-on development and configure solution/data integration flows, security or compliance requirements
  • Solid experience in P2P processes related to solutions such as SAP Ariba, ECC and/or S/4HANA, etc.
  • Develop solution architecture and co-innovate with peer architects from other workstreams to advance the capabilities of S2P eco-system
  • Maintains the Global P2P template and ensures its continued governance and evolution
  • Lead system build, Testing, and deployment according to approved solution architecture, best practices and works independently
  • Experience in Agile methodology and DevOps

Basic Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree, OR

  • Masters degree and 3+ years of Information Systems experience, OR

  • Bachelors degree and 5+ years of Information Systems experience, OR

  • Associates degree and 10+ years of Information Systems experience, OR

  • High school diploma / GED and 12+ years of Information Systems experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including an ability to explain complex technical topics to diverse audiences
  • Hands-on experience in architecting, configuring, developing and integrating all aspects of Procure to Pay (P2P) solutions for global deployments and must have SAP ECC experience
  • Good understanding of Procure to Pay (P2P) business processes and its integration touch points such as Source to Contract, Supplier Management, Requisition to Pay, and Spend Analytics
  • Strong Knowledge of solution capabilities and hands-on experience in configuring and development in the following areas but not limited to SAP solutions:
  • SAP Ariba
  • SAP ERP and/or S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement
  • Business Network
  • Must have hands-on SAP ECC/ABAP and Ariba development experience
  • Experience in Tax Integration Tools (i.e. OneSource) would be a plus
  • Strong ABAP technical skills, BRF, WebDynpro ABAP, Workflow including understanding of software development principle
  • Strong Interface development knowledge in SAP PI and PO including working knowledge of REST adapter, SLD/ESR/ID configuration, BPM, EDI and web services
  • Development of SAP mobile/desktop applications using SAP UI5, Fiori, OData services
  • Understanding of reporting Enterprise Data Fabric (EDF), Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Data lake, and frontend tools (i.e. BOBJ, Cognos, Tableau) would be a plus
  • Experience working with software systems validation, SOX, Information Privacy, FDA cGxP controlled environment and 21 CFR Part 11 regulations
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to take principled bets on new technology, ability to establish, implement, and make sure appropriate IS standards to meet business requirements
  • Experience in Agile and Devops model applying concepts like User Stories, Personas, Epics, features, Sprint etc.
  • Foster a culture of innovation to encourage resources to evaluate and introduce new technologies that will allow business to meet their objectives
