The company’s immunotherapy platform is designed to activate both the innate (natural killer cell and macrophage) and adaptive (T cell) immune systems to create long-term “immunological memory.”

POSITION SUMMARY

ImmunityBio Inc. is seeking a highly motivated, full-time research associate to join the Protein Science group to support the discovery, research and development of immunotherapies across multiple therapeutic areas, including, but not limited to cancer and infectious diseases. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years of wet-lab experiences or a master’s degree with 1+ year of wet-lab experience, ability to manage multiple tasks in a timely manner, good written/verbal communication skills and have a willingness to work as part of the team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Conduct various analytical assays including but not limited to DSF, HPLC and ELISA
  • Protein purification using AKTA FPLC
  • Run CE-SDS, icIEF and other protein characterization assays
  • Maintain various instrumentations
  • Keep detailed record of generated data
  • Conduct data analysis
  • Present in group meeting

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • B.S. in biochemistry or in related scientific disciplines with 1-3 years of wet-lab experiences or M.S. in biochemistry or in related scientific disciplines with 1+year of wet-lab experiences.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of various biophysical/biochemical assays
  • Ability to conduct protein purification independently
  • Capability to run various analytical instrumentation, such as HPLC and AKTA FPLC
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellence in record keeping and organization skills
  • Strong analytical skill
  • Self-motivated and able to work on multi-faceted projects
  • in fast-paced environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skill
  • Proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, powerpoint)

Working Environment/Physical Requirements

  • Working environment is within an approximately 2,000 square foot lab space equipped with biosafety cabinets for mammalian cell culture and equipment sufficient to complete the tasks described above.
