What You Will AchieveYou will monitor and respond to basic functioning needs of area equipment, i.e. line speed, feeding product, line clearances, cleaning, loading or unloading materials adhering to all SOPs, cGMPs (current Good Manufacturing Practices), plant quality, safety, and documentation systems requirements.
As part of the Technical Operations team, you are recognized as a subject matter expert with specialized knowledge and skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and equipment. You will be entrusted with adapting standard methods and procedures by applying your knowledge, prior work experience and requirements. Your business awareness of cross-organizational impact on project delivery will elevate the quality of project deliverables. You will arrive at decisions on which methods and procedures are the best fit for different work situations. You will assist with training others and reinforce behaviors that will help us achieve our goal of providing the best healthcare to patients.
How You Will Achieve ItEHS
Displays full commitment to safety in daily work and planning and models desired safety behaviors
Routinely leads safety initiatives and/or unit safety teams and implements safety improvements
Completes confined space entries and paperwork for the area and can author safety documents
GMP
Manages the training and onboarding program within the unit with minimal guidance
Routinely leads compliance and quality continuous improvement initiatives
Leads some quality investigations
Represents the unit in discussions with regulatory & customer auditors and other 3rd parties
Holds team accountable for GMP behaviors
Operations
Regularly implements suggestions to improve unit efficiency
Is a leader on IMEx, 5S and other CI initiatives
Actively represents internal and external stakeholders in making unit decisions
Manages all unit supply ordering
In some areas, takes a lead role in ensuring the equipment is operating optimally and in the design, installation, and qualification of new equipment or processes
Other:

Education and Experience:
High school diploma / general education degree (GED) plus
3+ years as an Operations Specialist/Lead, OR
9+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably GMP
In addition, the following skills are preferred:
Mechanical experience/aptitude
Experience with Pfizer computer systems (MS office, PLS, QTS, PDOCS)
Written & oral communication skills
Nice-to-Have
