The Role: BigHat Biosciences is seeking a self-motivated individual for a Research Associate role* to greatly expand the capacity of display technologies at BigHat. This individual will accelerate the discovery of next-generation antibodies, and the improvement of our machine learning models that can rapidly design better antibodies on the BigHat Platform.

Key Responsibilities
About You Bachelor's or Master's degree in the biological sciences with 1-2 years experience; strongly self-motivated individual with attention to detail; familiarity with general molecular biology skills and protein biochemistry; experience with phage preferred but not required; driven, team-oriented, and excited to work in a dynamic startup environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Constructing phage display libraries to use for selections. This will include PCR, molecular cloning, electroporations, etc.
- Performing phage display selections using naive and affinity maturation libraries to discover novel next-generation antibodies
- Collaborating with BigHat’s Data Science and Machine Learning Teams to help further improve our platform
- Assaying display-derived samples using colony picking, bacterial growth, and Phage ELISAs
- Following all laboratory protocols and promptly communicating results and difficulties.
- Keeping a detailed record of all experiments using BigHat’s documentation tools.
