In this vital role you will design and build secure and scalable solutions on the Salesforce platform, work with Platform, Product Teams & Product Owners, Technologists and Business and IS stakeholders, driving the evolution of our Contract & Pricing systems using the latest technological solutions by ensuring the product's quality, resiliency and scalability. This role will be focused on developing applications and guiding the technical team in building the most efficient solutions based on our roadmap and maintain a comprehensive set of technical documents and guidelines. You will stay abreast of current Salesforce capabilities and roadmaps, drive the adoption of standard software development, engineering and release processes, using Agile and Dev/Ops standard methodologies.

  • Develop, manage, configure, and customize Salesforce organization, create custom applications and processes within the CRM, and troubleshoot issues

  • Full stack development and understand technologies such as: HTML, XML, CSS, JSP, JavaScript, SOQL, AJAX, REST APIs, and migration tools

  • Understand and configure Salesforce Contract, Pricing & Quote (CPQ), Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Community Cloud, and Data Modeling

  • Work with Saleforce Process Builder, Flow Management, Workflow Rules, Triggers, Data Loader, Approval Processes, custom tabs, custom reports, and report folders, report extractions to various formats, design of Visual Force (Page, Component & Controllers) to provide users with the most relevant experience possible

  • Development in Apex Language, Apex Trigger, Apex Scheduler, Batch Apex, Apex Class & Apex Web Service, Partner WSDL & Enterprise WSDL

  • Unit Testing, Test Coverage and Code Review

  • Context-specific and adaptive communication and presentation across a variety of audiences and situations; proactive thinking and behavior and the desire and ability to self-start/learn and apply new technologies

  • Formulate sound technical solutions and prototypes based on discussions with team and product owner, following defined priorities

  • Communicate software and system designs using UML, lucid chart or other modeling tools and software. Collaborate with team members to apply abstractions and service-orientation to foster scalability

  • Lead technical team by breaking down the work, assign tasks to the development team, oversee the progress of the work, and manage technical tasks to the quality delivery

  • Fluent in agile methodology and use of JIRA to create and manage Epics and Storie

  • Work closely with members of the Product team, and cross-functionally with business and other IS partners using Agile, scrum and lean principles

  • Work in a changing environment, under pressure, handling multiple projects simultaneously

  • Research Salesforce.com capabilities as needed to suit business requirements, and provide gap analysis

  • Ability to develop estimates

  • Provide leadership and engineering expertise along with delivery for end-to-end automations that span multiple system and need enterprise architecture mindset

  • Document and understand the relationships among applications, roles, capabilities, and business units

  • Collaborate with technical team and business partners to synthesize and understand the needs and outcome, develop and propose the best automation solutions which can improve productivity, and help provide inputs into the technology roadmap and keep it up to date

  • Service as liaison with Salesforce Platform team on system design and architecture design of Contract and Pricing systems

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

OR

Masters degree and 3 years of Salesforce development experience, technical lead, solution architect

Or

Bachelors degree and 5 years of Salesforce development experience, technical lead, solution architect

Or

Associates degree and 10 years of Salesforce development experience, technical lead, solution architect

Or

High school diploma/GED, 12 years of Salesforce development experience, technical lead, solution architect

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration, including leadership in guiding customers and colleagues in rationalizing and deploying emerging technology for business use cases

  • A detailed understanding of enterprise application integration concepts - including experience with implementing Salesforce Integrations using Mulesoft

  • Salesforce Advanced Administration certification strongly preferred

  • Experience writing and publishing internal white/position papers, user documentation, SOPs, and architectural specifications

  • Domain knowledge of health care/life sciences would be a plus

  • Process Automation and Engineering experience delivering value

  • Data analysis and reporting experience by using analytics, visualization and database technologies is a plus

  • Possess knowledge of enterprise systems (e.g., Workday, Service Now, SAP)

  • Ability to quickly assimilate knowledge of new platforms, languages, tools, and technologies
