The Director, Global Marketing for the Transplant Therapeutic Area (TA) is responsible for development and implementation of global marketing strategies that support worldwide commercialization for assigned products within the Transplant Therapeutic Area (TA). These responsibilities cover both in-line brands and pipeline products. This position will also have a role in representing all GCD functions (marketing, medical and market access) on Product Strategy Teams.
Where applicable the incumbent will develop and implement global marketing strategies and tactics for assigned in-line brand(s) within the TA. This includes 3-year strategic marketing plans containing brand vision, strategic imperatives and tactical execution plans.
The role will be responsible for developing comprehensive, fully integrated “go to market” strategies, aligned with regions and countries, and for assigned pipeline product(s) in the TA which includes:
- Value propositions
- Market shaping activities
- Global positioning, concepts and messages
- Global marketing materials
- Global brand guidelines
Provide critical analysis of internal and competitive products in collaboration with internal and external partners (market analysis, sales data analysis, market research, where appropriate) for identification of critical cross-regional marketing trends and opportunities and to formulate marketing and selling strategies and activities in the regions.
Provide commercial expertise related to the TA and provide relevant training to Commercial Operations Region staff where appropriate. Prepare and implement strategies for global TA conferences.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal groups (including TALT members, Commercial Operations Regions, R&D, Legal, Finance, Medical Affairs etc.) and with key external groups (Key Opinion Leaders, Physician/Patient organizations etc) in order to facilitate internal and external collaboration.
• BS/BA required preferably in business/marketing, life sciences or healthcare discipline; MBA, Medical degree or other advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years' relevant commercial/marketing experience with a proven track of progressive responsibility. Specific experience in the assigned TA, as well as global and product launch experience is preferred.
Willingness and flexibility to meet overseas travel requirements (up to 20%).
