As an Associate Director within Medical Analytics you will be the statistical programming lead responsible for implementing the overall strategy for assigned product(s). Together with our Medical Analytics (Biostatistics), Medical Affairs and HEOR colleagues, plan and implement statistical analysis, provide input into and align with publication plans, support HEOR analyses intended for payer and reimbursement needs, as well as support Phase 4 studies. Your experience will be applied to understand the research questions, implement complex statistical analyses, and explain analysis implementation. 


A typical day may include the following: 
Develop our standards including statistical programming position papers, data standards, analysis/display catalogs, and SAS macro libraries.
Further the technology, systems, and process infrastructure. 
Educate and disseminate knowledge throughout the organization for areas within the expertise of Medical Analytics.
Plan and Execute Statistical Analysis
Provide feedback into our policies and process improvement work streams (scientific, systems and process).
Provide significant input into our Statistical Analysis Plan (SAP) to comprehensively and unambiguously define specifications, data derivations, and display shells to be generated in collaboration with key partners.
Perform and/or oversee statistical analyses using SAS to generate tables, listings, and figures for use in publications/presentations and for internal purposes.
Ensures quality of deliverables through appropriate testing/validation and active review for completeness and accuracy including oversight of work packages outsourced to CROs. 
Be current with innovative statistical programming science by participating in scientific societies, constant review of the relevant literature, and translate and apply relevant methodology to everyday work.
Develop strong partnerships within Regeneron, its partner organizations, and external experts and become established as a critical member of the product team.
Exhibit strong communication skills to understand/document the SAP requirements and 
Expertise in planning and executing statistical analysis by authoring parts of and/or providing significant input in the SAP, implementing the SAP using SAS, ensuring quality via validation, and explaining implementation details to technical and non-technical audiences.
Medical Affairs analyses using the clinical database for scientific meetings, publications, and internal decision-making. 


This may be for you if you: 
•    Have expertise in designing and developing statistical programming infrastructure
•    Can explain/discuss implementation details of complex statistical analyses to both technical and non-technical audience
•    Have experience promoting teamwork, innovation, and motivation.
•    Can demonstrate ability estimating and planning resource needs and allocation.


To be considered for this you are to have an MS with 9 + years pf demonstrated ability or BS with at least 6 years of demonstrated ability in statistical programming within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical or health related industries. A degree should be in statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, life sciences or related subject area. Expert knowledge of statistical programming methods using SAS to solve statistical problems.

  • Experience in statistical programming methods to support Health Economics and Outcomes Research including patient reported outcomes (including development/validation), HTA/reimbursement/value dossiers, and real world studies.
  • Experience with R, R Shiny, R Markdown, and machine learning methods are a plus.
