Job Details

At Tegmine, we’ve developed a platform which employs cutting-edge mass spectrometry and CRISPR cell engineering to discover and develop higher-specificity antibody-based therapeutics.  Our platform focuses on identifying proteins with tumor-specific modifications that drive disease progression and severity.  By targeting proteins in their pathogenic state, we are developing high-precision antibodies for the next generation of anti-cancer therapeutics.

We’re seeking a scientist in the field of proteomics to advance our target discovery efforts to develop ADC and CAR-T therapies. The scientist will be responsible for leading our mass spectrometry platform to assist with target identification, validation, and development efforts, and coordinating proteomics efforts with our external collaborators.

Responsibilities

  • Lead sample preparation operations and contribute to refining or developing additional glycoprotein or peptide enrichment methods.
  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our analytical instrumentation including our nanoLC and Thermo Orbitrap Eclipse MS.
  • Set up raw data processing and generate data reports.
  • Act as a scientific leader to independently solve technical problems.
  • Serve as source of knowledge in your area of expertise to support the growing team.

Qualifications

  • Mass spectrometry: Experience running mass spectrometers using DIA or DDA workflows with limited material using NanoLC.
  • Proteomics: Experience with enrichment techniques for characterizing post-translationally modified proteins. Processing tissues / cells for global proteomics studies. Familiarity with data analysis for both global proteomics and targeted assays.
  • Organization and clear communication of your results and goals.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience with:
    • Using HCD, ETD, or EThCD workflows to identify post-translationally modified peptides in complex samples.
    • Synthetic, or biosynthetic, peptide modification and purification.

Requirements

  • M.S. with 4-6 years laboratory experience or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Proteomics or related fields.
