R&D Specialist, Oncology

We are seeking a Research Specialist to join the Oncology group.  You will be part of a group responsible for the identification and validation of novel tumor drug targets and for the screening of fully-human antibodies (generated with our proprietary VelocImmune technology) against these targets. 

In this role, a typical day may include:

• Perform experiments including in vitro cell culture and in vivo tumor experiments in mice

• Analyze data and communicate results clearly and concisely

• Organize and compile results into a finished format for presentation

• Maintain precise lab notebooks

• Daily lab maintenance (e.g., ordering reagents and supplies)

This role may be for you if you:

• Excellent communication skills and be able to work well in a team

• Expertise with in vitro tissue culture, cell-based and molecular biology assays as well as in vivo tumor models is highly desirable.

To be considered for this role you must have a BS or MS with at least 3 years of relevant work experience. We need someone with experience with large amounts of mammalian cell culture, as well as basic molecular biology and biochemistry techniques. Experience designing FACS panels and performing multi-color FACS analysis preferred but we are willing to train. Familiarity with CRISPR screens preferred but not required. Experience with mouse tumor models (e.g., subcutaneous implantation, drug dosing, measuring tumors and tumor harvest) is preferred but not required.
