Job Description
In this role, the Associate Director reports to Director, Managed Care Data Strategy & Analytics, and will have the responsibility to manage the cloud database analytics program. You will also be responsible for overseeing the managed markets analytics platform (MMAP) program and execute on the vision. You'll work with various teams within Managed Markets Strategy and Operations (MSO) and across the US Commercial organization to understand the managed markets related data/dashboard needs and fulfill these needs within the framework agreed upon in working with IT, vendors, and legal. You'll also chair the business champions meeting on a monthly basis to provide MMAP updates, collect feedback from users for improvement, and work with IT on execution.

In this role as an Associate Director, you will:
  • Experience building databases / IT infrastructure.
  • Able to influence cross-functional teams, refine current data strategy/plan, and execute towards an industry-leading cloud-based managed markets data infrastructure.
  • Ability to lead the team in an inclusive manner, identify issues proactively, and update the organization on the path forward to resolve outstanding issues.
  • Strong IT Project Management, analytics, and dashboarding knowledge.
  • Experience with database management, data governance, analytics, data quality, and compliance.
  • Program manager for the managed markets analytics platform overseeing all the processes and making sure plans are executed.
  • Work with stakeholders (IT, MSO, Managed Markets and Trade account managers, Integrichain, Valuecentric, etc.) to understand the process, identify areas of improvement, and champion change.
  • Monitor data flow model, governance, processes, etc. and ensure problems are identified proactively.
  • Work with Trade, Patient Support, Contracting Operations, and Analytics teams closely to get feedback on MMAP and collaboratively work towards industry-standard data infrastructure.
  • Deliver data quality metrics, and data quality management processes, and bring transparency to users.
  • Conduct needs assessment periodically to keep Gilead Managed Markets Data assets and the analytics program most up to date.


Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and Ten Years' Experience

OR

Masters' Degree and Eight Years' Experience

OR

Ph.D. and Two Years' Experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantitative fields such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Business.
  • 10 + years of related experience with a bachelor's degree OR 8 years with a Master's degree in creating IT infrastructure / Database.
  • Previous experience in tool development/building dashboards preferred.
  • Previous experience with pharmaceutical managed markets preferred.
  • Intermediate-level SQL / SAS and Tableau skills preferred.
