The Employee Experience (EE) - provides the full range of services to Gilead's business users globally. This team aims to provide services that are reliable, accessible, feature-rich, and easy to use for all users. From the business standpoint, we aim to build a highly effective team that provides services that are cost-effective, proactively managed, and financially responsible and transparent to our stakeholders.

The EE Associate Director is a significant role that identifies and provides technical direction to deliver services that add value to our business partners. This role partners cross-functionally to establish platform roadmap, delivery, and sustainment oversight to ensure systemic feasibility that aligns to overall strategic direction year over year. In addition, this individual is the System Manager of the Platform.

Responsibilities of Employee Experience ServiceNow Platform Associate Director include:
  • Transforms service offerings to increase efficiency and reduce manual efforts
  • Establishes strong, advocate and partner to our business constituents
  • Adds value to the customer journey and directly impacts company growth and strategic objectives
  • Provides oversight and manage Service Partner to provide effective sustainment/support services
  • Works closely with cross-functional groups to introduce innovative features to provide platform solutions to add value to business partners
  • Be the point of contact to validate technical solutions and guide the teams to deliver commitments timely and within budget
  • Monitors metrics / KPIs and suggests remedial actions for system stabilization
  • Engages in various cross team deliverable to provide critical insights from technical architecture perspective
  • Evaluates latest technical innovations and implements as applicable accordingly to strategic alignment and value
  • Manages implementation roadmap and architecture blueprint
  • Establishes and manages technical governance processes for support and development teams
  • Provide technical evaluation of demands for new application integrations and changes to existing applications, translating demands into an architectural blueprint
  • Reviews and guides the remediation of code, configurations that do not align to ServiceNow best practices
  • Provides technical best practices, standards, and design support for complex requirements
  • Defines solutions across the platform that align to out of the box capabilities
  • Ability to analyze system events on the platform and propose system enhancement and stabilization ideas
  • Stays current on product development/releases to provide guidance to resources
  • Orchestrates resources and activities in the end-to-end execution and delivery of commitments
  • Ensures compliance (e.g., security, regulatory compliance, etc.) are adhered to
  • Ensures all deliverables and commitments are compliant with relevant standards, processes, and methodology
  • Collaborates with capability/product owners to ensure the product backlog is well-groomed and ready for the next sprint.
  • Helps capability/product owners in making the right decisions
  • Tracks and provides capability/product and team metrics
  • Acts as a buffer between the team and any distracting influences
  • Enables collaboration between all different roles
  • Onboards and guide Managed Service Provider resources to be an effective member of the team and be the point of escalation to resolve conflicts, issues and risks
  • Be part of the transformation leadership team to drive value-add outcomes
  • Addresses transformation challenges by helping team members navigate the organization effectively
  • Provides continuous improvement input to simplify procedures and leverage technology tools (e.g., Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, etc.)
  • Provides lifecycle management of the platform and 3rd party tools to provides services to global constituents
  • Manages financials, forecasting and accounting


Basic Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree and Twelve Years Experience OR Bachelor's Degree and Ten Years Experience OR Master's Degree and Eight Years Experience OR PhD and Two Years Experience


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with organizational transformation and process re-engineering
  • 7+ years of ServiceNow Platform Experience with an in-depth understanding of ServiceNow architecture
  • Excellent understanding of the architectural principles for cloud-based platforms that include SaaS, PaaS, multi-tenancy, and automation
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow glide layer and wrappers build on top of it
  • Ability to document roadmaps with functional design elements to achieve desired offering, solution, application, or any other outcome
  • Strong facilitation skills, to encourage clear articulation of the business issues and effective solution design by the relevant players
  • People management of staff, managed service resources and consultants
  • Proven records in managing and delivering cross-functional assignments
  • Innovative thinker bearing a Growth Mindset
  • In-depth knowledge and practical experiences of Software Lifecycle Methodology and Agile Methodology
  • Direct hands-on experience working with Managed Service Provider
  • Solid experience with stakeholder management and vendor management
  • Ability to work with dispersed and global teams to achieve significant initiatives
  • Ability to bring order, governance and structure to a project or program
  • Strong leadership and management skills with ability to make critical decisions
  • Excellent knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
  • Specific experience in the Life Science/Pharma/Medical Devices/Healthcare Industries
  • PMP certification or Agile certification or equivalent practical experiences
  • Solid background in building roadmaps, create and execute on a strategic vision
  • Hands-on experience with Information Technology project and/or program delivery
  • Strong project and/or program management skills
  • Outstanding communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills, and can collaborate at all levels
