About the role

Sana Biotechnology is growing, and we are hiring new team members who believe in the potential of engineered cells as medicines, who want to challenge status quo, and who lead with the desire to work on novel ideas. As a Manager, you will report to the Associate Director of Analytical Operations to provide high quality results to Process Development Teams using both manual lab equipment and laboratory automation and software. In addition, you will manage one to two Senior Research Associate with the potential to further grow the team. Cool stuff.

What you’ll do

  • Provide routine analytical testing support to Upstream and Downstream groups focused on gene- and cell-based products
  • Develop automated laboratory workflows for flow cytometry methods
  • Document daily activities in ELN and LIMS
  • Manage direct report duties and career development
  • Contribute to Sana’s mission and culture

What we’re looking for

  • Direct experience performing flow cytometry
  • Knowledge of gene- or cell-based therapies
  • Familiarity with lab automation hardware or software
  • PhD in scientific discipline and up to 2+ yrs industry experience or BA and/or MS plus 7+ yrs or equivalent combination of education and work experience

What you should know

  • Working safely in person on a predictable and regular in-person basis is an essential job function for this position, and the Company requires that all individuals working in-person be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including receipt of a vaccine booster shot if recommended by the CDC
