Reporting to the CFO, US, with a dotted line report into the Head of Site, this role is responsible for directing all strategic business and financial reporting, planning, information systems and capital expansion functions. This position will sit in Thousand Oaks, California.

Reporting to the CFO, US, with a dotted line report into the Head of Site, this role is responsible for directing all strategic business and financial reporting, planning, information systems and capital expansion functions. This position will sit in Thousand Oaks, California.

 

MAJOR ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Site Leadership team

  • Key member of the Site Leadership Team (SLT), representing the Finance function, providing data to enable decisions on projects, business operations, customers, etc
  • Representation on the SLT for other business support functions if deemed appropriate.

Strategic Business Support

  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of standard costing models and rates used in the SAP system as well as to price project proposals.
  • Responsible for final review with Head of Site and authorization of client proposals and contracts in line with FDB policies.
  • Provides support for local investment decisions.
  • Responsible for supporting creation of the Mid-term plan targets.
  • Responsible for all local financing activities and support for corporate financing activities.
  • Responsible for the implementation of the company's formal mid-term and long-range strategic planning process including coordination of planning efforts by senior managers leading to the establishment and prioritization of strategic objectives.
  • Supports the Head of Site as requested by preparing reports and analyses.

Financial Reporting

  • Lead the Finance function through a transitional service agreement exit, being responsible for the recruitment and establishment of a new finance team ensuring the set-up of a competent, motivated and engaged team for the future success of the business.
  • Finance lead for the integration of SAP Hana ensuring all processes are fully documented and JSOX compliant.
  • Responsible for the development, implementation and management of all financial accounting and reporting systems.
  • Responsible for the preparation and oversight of all corporate financial reporting activities ensuring full compliance with USGAAP including monthly reporting to Fujifilm Corporate.
  • Responsible for the development, implementation and management of all cost accounting and reporting systems i These systems are used to provide job costing, facility costing, billing utilization and pricing information for internal use by company management.
  • Responsible for cash management systems and procedures.
  • Responsible for all banking related activities in relation to the legal entity ensuring business solvency at all times

Annual Budgeting and Audits

  • Responsible for the development of annual operating and capital budgets and monthly forecasts. Responsible for oversight of all internal and external audit activities. 
  • Responsible for developing and updating long range financial planning models for presentation to senior management and parent company officials.

Capital Investments:

  • Responsible for the management of capital. Prepares investment analyses to provide justification of large capital decisions.

Team Management:

  • Responsible for the development of staff within the Finance department directly and site overall to ensure a fully engaged, motivated and competent

BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting or Business with a CPA or M.B.A
  • Preferred and 10+ years' experience in increasingly responsible financial roles. 
  • Additionally, a minimum of 5 years management experience in a financial or related field. 
  • Also requires a demonstrated track record in the following key areas:
    1. Attainment of aggressive growth, improvement and profit objectives.
    2. Execution of strategic plans that optimize growth and competitive position.
    3. Strong collaboration and team building skills.
    4. Strong communication skills.
    5. A strategic thinker, able to motivate, lead and develop subordinates.

FDBU works with technical data, technology and materials that are subject to U.S. export laws and regulations. This position will require access to technical data, technology and source code that is controlled under U.S. export laws and regulations, including but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations at 22 C.F.R. Parts 120 – 130 and Export Administration Regulations in 15 C.F.R. Part 730 – 774, as may be amended.
