Job Details

Sage Therapeutics is searching for a creative, resourceful, dynamic, pro-active Market Access Operations Manager. In this position, you will be an integral contributor, ensuring smooth operations in support of the Market Access team.

Roles and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Directly manages operations for the US Market Access team.
  • Responsible for department budget tracking inclusive of PO and contract management.
  • Responsible for the operations of all peer-to-peer engagements such as live & virtual ad boards and congresses.  Responsibilities would include working with Compliance, Digital and Enterprise Capabilities (DEC), Finance, and other Commercial teams as appropriate.
  • Manage all logistical aspects of congress planning including management of booth installation & shipments, vendor managements, sponsorship needs, etc.
  • Provide key planning, organization, communication and operations for key Market Access meetings, live & virtual.
  • Prepare and assist the management of budgets, forecasts, accruals & actuals related to meetings/events.
  • Accountable for standards being met regarding appropriate record-keeping documentation and ensure conformance to all company regulatory standards of operation.
  • Key partner with DEC to assist with data integration, Market Access related CRM, and implementation.
  • Serves as Market Access interface with Sales Operations and Commercial Learning for relevant trainings, meetings and communications.
  • Support the administration of the promotional review process including content submissions and renewal and key stakeholder communication.
  • Serves as project manager when needed for key initiatives including brand planning engagement and market access programs with our alliance partner.
  • Develop, organize, and maintain critical documents in SharePoint.
  • Ensure accuracy of data and sources, and research questions or problems demonstrating a sound knowledge of the Commercial Business(es) and general corporate policies and operations.
  • Integral contributor to the team, acting as the operational hub for the department and works collaboratively with other departments.

Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills

Must thrive working in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient.  Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop important relationships with key stakeholders, good conflict management skills, ability to analyze complex issues to develop relevant and realistic plans, programs and recommendations.  Strong analytical skills and an ability to communicate issues in a simple way and to orchestrate plans to resolve issues.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years prior experience managing complex operational projects in a busy, high-growth and fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Biotech or Pharmaceutical Commercial and/or Market Access experience is preferred.
  • Top-notch organization and project management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Typically up to 20% travel required.
  • Exceptional relationship building & interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with all levels of management and consulting with key business stakeholders. An ability to influence for greater outcomes.
  • Strong team player that has a customer service approach and is solution oriented.
  • Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills.
