Lets do this. Lets change the world. Amgen is seeking a Specialist IS Project Manager our Operations laboratory support team.

This position will be responsible for all security tools and patches installed on our Regulated laboratory computers at Amgen Thousand Oaks, CA and Amgen Boston, MA campuses.

This position will work closely with the clients, Quality Assurance and the Enterprise Benchtop Services team to coordinate all security work and patching on laboratory computers.

Daily activities include scheduling down time for patching updates that support our clients schedules, open and resolve Change Controls for all activities, maintain complex lists of computer inventory, and work on special projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads corporate Operations deployments of anti-virus, malware, and software patches to benchtop computers

  • Drive deployment approach, approvals and management of all activities

  • Physically inventory benchtop computers and reconcile with asset inventory system

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications

Masters degree

Or

Bachelors degree & 2 years of experience in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering

Or

Associate degree & 6 years of experience in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering

Or

High school diploma / GED & 8 years of experience in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong customer focus with ability to work closely with customers to manage the resolution of issues in line with customer expectations

  • Strong Project Management skills

  • Experience with complex Excel spreadsheets and VLOOKUP

  • Experience with Agile JIRA processes

  • Strong team player who can effectively collaborate with IS colleagues in multiple locations on complex tasks and develop designs and strategies to address common problems within the benchtop support domain
