Manager of Media Services, Global Learning Solutions

Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will supervise the planning, development, and production of media assets for web-based, instructor-led and paper-based learning and communications solutions. This person will report to the Director, Global Learning Solutions
Responsibilities:Planning/Preparation
- Prepare budget estimates for media components of a project
- Review and provide input for media tasks on project plans
- Prepare the production schedule, including the number of days required, the number of crew members and actors needed, and the recording sequence for all scenes
- Scout locations for recording
- Work with a casting director to identify actors for projects with on-camera or voiceover roles
- Prepare a shot list for the recording session(s)
- Write/rewrite/review the script for the shoot/recording sessions
- Format scripts for use with a teleprompter
- Negotiate with and hire supplemental production crew members (as needed)
- Operate camera during video and photo shoots
- Prepare the location or set for shooting (include decorating the location with props and other set dressing)
- Set up lighting for each scene
- Set up and supervise both boom and clip on microphones
- Direct actors and non-professional on-camera individuals (such as Amgen employees)
- Operate teleprompter (as needed)
- Download all media from the shoot/recording session
- Transfer the media and script to vendors (if using outside resources)
- Review and label all media assets
- Edit video footage per the approved script
- Edit audio recordings per the approved script
- Review raw photos with client to identify selected shots
- Edit the selected shots to correct exposure, framing, and/or color temperature
- Export and post media to the specified format for client review
- Make all edits/revisions identified in client reviews
- Make corrections and/or edits to client-supplied media
- Management
- Supervise a team of 2-4 resources, including all aspects of the MAP process and general career development for all FTEs
- Create Statements of Work and Purchase Orders
- Review, approve and follow up on invoices for:
- Production crew members
- Audio and video editors
- Voiceover performers
- Translations
- Manage relationships with above-referenced vendors
- Order new equipment and software (as needed)
- Maintain all production equipment and software
- Provide media strategy to Shared Services department

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree
OrMasters degree and 2 years of project experience
OrBachelors degree and 4 years of project experience
OrAssociates degree and 10 years of project experience
OrHigh school diploma / GED and 12 years of project experience

- Strong consulting skills

- Possesses an understanding of broad, global leader dynamics and the cultural awareness and sensitivity to form relationships and work effectively with colleagues around the world.

- Demonstrated creativity in addressing strategic challenges; displays high intellectual curiosity and passion for learning; asks the right questions; seeks authoritative opinions and insights; applies innovative ideas and takes measured risks.
- Demonstrated experience working with leaders, including identifying needs, developing action plans, identifying areas of improvement, and communicating results/recommendations.
- Experience overseeing and monitoring the performance of outsourced providers
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
