We are currently seeking a qualified individual for a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Support position to join the Forge Biologics team. In this role, the GMP Support will contribute to the operational, cleaning, and supply chain activities required to support our GMP manufacturing cleanroom. This role will focus on keeping the cleanroom operational by maintaining cleanliness and replenishing stock of consumables in support of our internal and external gene therapy programs.
The GMP Support technician responsibilities will increase as the organization grows. This person is responsible for cleaning the assigned areas within the cleanroom facility per controlled procedures. This position will keep the production area in orderly condition. The GMP support technician will work with the GMP technicians and supply chain teams across all value streams to ensure the assigned areas are supplied properly to meet consumption demand requirements. This role will work off-shift to plan for and set up the lab space for the following day.
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and supplying designated facility areas including cleanrooms (mopping floors, walls and ceilings, surface and equipment cleaning, etc for procedure)
- Stocking and maintaining cleanroom supplies
- Following gowning training and procedures
- Performing and documenting routine inspection and maintenance activities
- Carrying out special projects as assigned
- Notifying management of deficiencies or needs for repair
- Training new employees as requested and reporting progress to management.
- Managing cleaning products needed for day to day operations.
- Coordinating activities with the rest of the staff
- Following all health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a professional setting for cleaning.
- Must be self-motivating, organized and proactive
- Ability to work hours necessary to support production and/or product transfer activities
- Computers and Electronics - Knowledge of electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including supply chain and inventory applications.
- Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets
- This position is designed for non-standard hours starting after 12pm Monday-Friday.
