How you will Achieve More with Intellia:

Intellia is opening a 170,000 square foot state-of-the-art GMP manufacturing facility in Waltham, MA and we are looking for a Senior Director to serve as our Site Head of Facilities Operations. This building will house office and lab space, including both cGMP and non-cGMP labs. This newly created role reports to the Vice President of Facilities Operations and EH&S. If you have prior experience supporting cGMP facilities operations and engineering as it relates to specific MEP and BMS infrastructure and systems management, this could be the role for you! Some of the daily responsibilities of this role include:

  • Manage the Facilities Operation Department and third-party contractors supporting the office and non-cGMP lab space within the Intellia leased space

  • Manage all core building infrastructure as it relates to MEPs, BMS, and other building related systems

  • Assist the VP of Facilities Operation and EH&S with the design and construction of the Waltham facility as required

  • Manage city, state, and federal regulations associated with the building classification and use

  • Act as the Intellia liaison with Real Estate/Property Management company for all building related activities, procedures, and protocols

  • Support and work strategically with Waltham’s Technical Operation organization

  • Manage budgets pertaining to the site including rent, utilities, and operating expenses

  • Partner strategically with various functional areas within the Facilities Operations and EH&S organization including Security, Lab Operations, Shipping & Receiving and Internal Logistics, and Office Management

About You:

Our ideal candidate will bring 10-15 years of experience working in the Biotechnology industry, 5-10 years of direct construction experience in the Biotechnology industry. Comprehensive knowledge of cGMP requirements and a proven ability to manage multiple functions within a Facilities Operations organization are also required.
