The Gilead Business Services center in Raleigh's Research Triangle region is home to some of the company's critical shared service teams in North America, including Information Technology, Global Financial Solutions, HR Operations and Procurement Services Desk. These functions provide the necessary support to ensure Gilead's business runs effectively and efficiently. The center will also be a catalyst for standardization of processes, digital transformation and technology optimization.

Gilead Enterprise Data Governance is looking for an Enterprise MDM Data Architect to model, maintain and enhance the processes for our Enterprise Master Data Management initiatives across the various Line of Business units. You will collaborate with Business and IT Teams to understand their data needs and translate them into Target Data Models, Data Rules and Integration processes that meet the key business objectives. You will continue to evaluate and identify opportunities to leverage both MDM and Data Quality capabilities to improve the business results.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure and maintain the Enterprise Domain Data Models, hierarchies, workflows, match & merge survivorship rules and user interface design.
  
• Design, configure and maintain Master Data Integration processes for supporting data ingestion, transformation and integration of data with upstream and downstream systems with the goal of ensuring consistency, accuracy, and control.
  
• Continuously review MDM Domain Data models to ensure that they reflect the best available enterprise-wide data according to the data needs of the various Domains.
  
• Work with the Data Engineers to operationalize the rules and integration processes and resolve complex technical issues as they relate to Master Data Architecture.
  
• Identify and build relationships with External vendors/System Integrators who may assist in the building of the advanced MDM and DQ capabilities.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related discipline
  
• 8+ years of experience in Master Data Management or Data Architecture with at least two cycles of MDM solution design, development, and implementation in Informatica multidomain MDM.
  
• Thorough understanding of Data Management best practices such as Match/Merge, Enrichment, Deduplication, Trust & Survivorship.
  
• Hands on experience working with ETL tools (Informatica, cloud-based tools)
  
• Experience with AWS cloud data architecture
  
• Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  
• Effectively work across team boundaries to establish overarching solution architecture and provide guidance to individual teams.
  
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
