Associate Software Engineer - Scientific Platform and Computing
This position will be mostly remote but candidate should be within commutable distance to one of these sites (Thousand Oaks/ South San Francisco/ Tampa/ Cambridge) and be able to come in to office a few days a month if needed.

In this vital role you will help build innovative scientific applications with modern technology stacks that will be used by our research partners to drive Amgens innovation in drug discovery. The outstanding candidate will join our dedicated Research Informatics team to deliver solutions by leveraging best practices in Agile and DevOps. This Software Engineer supports our Research partners in designing and implementing IS solutions for Discovery, Non-Clinical & Early Development.
The Research Informatics team supports discovery research and translational sciences globally with innovative IS and Data Science solutions to accelerate and grow Amgens pipeline of biopharmaceuticals. Our success in informatics is driven by our commitment to the IS Vision

Develop and deliver high-quality, scalable, and robust software products & components in collaboration with product management, stakeholders & engineering teams
Collaborate with the team members to create end to end Informatics solutions in support of R&D business objectives
Collaborate with the team members to ensure all services are reliable, maintainable, and well-integrated into existing platforms
Evaluate innovative technologies in the industry to meet scientific business needs

Associates degree and 4 years of software engineering experience
High school diploma / GED and 6 years of software engineering experience
Knowledge of software engineering practices across full software development life cycle (SDLC), including rapid prototyping, agile methodology, DevOps frameworks, and cloud architecture
High learning agility, innovation, and analytical skills. Additional coursework in data sciences, biology or chemistry beyond AP level or research internship experience is beneficial
