Specialist IS Business Analyst


What you will do

Lets do this. Lets change the world. We are seeking a Specialist/Senior Technical Business Analyst to join our team to implement the next generation of signal platforms and supporting technologies. As part of this role, you will both engage with the business users and functional SMEs for the platform selection and implementation of the signal solution and technologies.

  • Partner with IS and Business stakeholders to analyze and understand business needs and develop innovative solutions
  • Responsible for defining and implementing a project and technical road maps that align with the strategy
  • Overall accountability of technical implementation aspects of projects including development of the business case to acquire funding, planning, architecture, design, development, and testing to follow IS Change Control and GxP validation process
  • Responsible for authoring validation artifacts such as requirements, design, and architectural specifications
  • Willing to jump in and do programming/code reviews etc. based on project/product team demands. Use advanced SQL to analyze data to perform impact assessment.
  • Work closely with the delivery and platform teams to ensure that the applications are aligned with approved architectural and development guidelines
  • Analyze and explore industry trends and standard methodologies for innovative solutions for Global Patient Safety (GPS)
  • Responsible for supporting and leading technical root cause analysis and working with vendors to resolve PV systems related issues
  • Supports PV audits/inspections
  • Responsible for mentoring the product teams

Masters degree


Bachelors degree and 2 years of relevant experience


Associates degree and 6 years of relevant experience


High school diploma / GED and 8 years of relevant

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experienced in database programming languages, data modelling concepts, including Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
  • Working experience in cloud services such as AWS
  • Knowledgeable of new technologies for Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Natural Generation Language (NLG)
  • Experience with API integrations such as MuleSoft
  • Solid understanding of using one or more general programming languages, including but not limited to: Java or Python
  • Has working knowledge of COTS Pharmacovigilance Platforms (for example Argus) is a plus or other safety database
  • Experience with Signal platforms is a plus
  • Knowledgeable of Agile project methodologies and working in Product Teams by using JIRA
  • Experience or demonstrable understanding of Computer Systems Validation including FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GxP Compliance, and change control
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients
  • Sharp learning agility, problem solving and analytical thinking
