POSITION:

We are seeking a highly motivated scientist with extensive experience in biochemical screening platforms to join our Biology Department. The candidate will actively participate in the

execution of strategies that support Entos' drug discovery programs. The ideal candidate should have a deep knowledge of biochemical analysis utilized in small molecule drug discovery. The successful candidate will develop relevant assays to help inform structure-activity relationship analysis and perform in vitro mechanism of drug action studies. A strong foundation of relevant automation experience is a plus. The candidate would distill relevant findings from scientific literature to adapt experimental approaches for internal efforts. This scientist can easily integrate into a highly collaborative team environment and is expected to have strong written and oral communication skills. The candidate will be a key contributor to the organization to deliver a robust preclinical pipeline of high-value, novel oncology small molecule inhibitors spanning from Target ID to IND submission. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop relevant assays to help inform structure-activity relationship analysis and perform in vitro mechanism of drug action studies

• Generate data to drive drug discovery decisions and enable project teams to progress from target validation to clinical candidate selection

• Ensure timely delivery of incisive and actionable biochemical data that guide drug discovery strategy

• Manage biochemical assays at CROs (sample registration, logistics, datacommunication/presentation, trouble shooting, etc)

• Lead efforts to leverage outsourced screening capabilities to facilitate timely delivery of data to drug discovery projects

• Communicate scientific strategies effectively in internal and external settings

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• PhD or MS degree in biochemistry or related fields

• Broad and deep experience in biochemical analysis of small molecule inhibitors or agonists including assay development and mechanism of action analysis (i.e., Caliper MSA, AssayQuant, ADP-Glo, Kinase-Glo, Radiometric, Kinome-scan, HTFR/TR-FRET, ITC, DSF, AlphaScreen, Florescence Polarization)

• Proven expertise in assay automation using multiple platforms (i.e., Biomek FX, TECAN, etc.)

• Have a basic understanding of structure-activity relationships to enable communication with project team

• Characterize kinetics of compound binding using biochemical methods and able to analyze and interpret data for internal review

• Expertise in the design, validation, and execution of both biochemical assays

• Proven experience in high throughput automation and rigorous data analysis to generate high quality, robust datasets

• Demonstrated experience writing and following SOPs

• Experience with regimented data QC and uploading to electronic databases; deep experience in oncology small molecule drug discovery; strong scientific and technical expertise to drive functional capability and productivity

• Possess a good command of biochemistry knowledge and bring strong communication skills
