The Position

Earli, Inc. is currently seeking motivated Senior Scientist Molecular Imaging (PET-CT) candidates. 

Your Primary Responsibilities

Earli’s platform technology uses cancer-activated gene expression to usurp the dysregulated pathways that lead to malignancy. In this position, you will be leveraging this unique platform for the cancer-activated expression of PET reporter genes and synthetic targets for the purpose of developing imaging agents and theranostic approaches. Within this context, you will:

  • Assist in the development of improved molecular imaging techniques using expressed PET reporter genes in preclinical cancer models and characterizing the outcomes of the experiments with a view towards human clinical translation.
  • Provide technical leadership in obtaining and interpreting data sets from quantitative analysis of PET imaging.
  • Conduct and communicate complex statistical analyses of medical imaging studies to support trial design and registration activities.
  • Work with bioinformatics team to optimize image analysis and improve quality, develop co-registration tools, incorporate partial-volume correction, iterative image reconstruction, etc.
  • Assist in the development innovative ideas for novel PET reporter genes and tracers.
  • Prepare high quality analytic documentation, such as project reports and manuscripts to support publications and regulatory filings. 

Your Required Experience, Knowledge and Skills

  • M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Biophysics, Medical Physics, Bioengineering, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related degree.
  • At least 5+ years of strong technical experience working in a post-graduate setting in industry or an academic lab, with a proven track record of expertise with medical imaging (PET, CT, SPECT, etc.) and image segmentation in preclinical animal models.
  • Demonstrated success with the leading the design and interpretation of external in vivo experiments to explore diagnostic imaging agents and the therapeutic potential of radiotherapeutics in relevant oncology models.
  • Expertise in physical dosimetry and mathematical dose calculations of a wide variety of tracers and labels is highly desired.
  • Previous experience with AI and ML-based techniques is a plus.
  • Previous experience with QC and interpretation of data from PET imaging analyses tools such as PMOD, MIM, APPIAN or VIVOQUANT platforms is required.
  • A background in synthetic biology and/or the use of PET reporter genes would be helpful.
  • Be a go-getter, hands-on kind of person.
  • Keen eye for detail, both with experiments and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a diverse interdisciplinary team.
  • Team player and not shy to roll up the sleeves if needed.
