Sana is looking for an experienced Program Manager (reporting to the VP of Program and Alliance Management) to provide leadership in strategic planning and execution on early stage cell and gene therapy programs. You will ensure alignment with the overall Sana strategy and drive achievement of the company goals through excellence in project management of cross-functional teams. The Program Manager will also work closely with the functional leaders to ensure integration and agreement on the overall program goals and resourcing. You are a team-player who is self motivated, detail-oriented, can multi-task, understands the broader context and impact you will provide and know how to identify issues and proactively propose solutions. Strong experience working as a PM in research and development is a must.

What you'll do

  • Drive program success by leading from every seat, thriving as a team and making it happen
  • Deliver consistent and high-quality project management services to enable team and project success by being strategic in project planning, team management and process management
  • Partner with Program team leader to set, monitor strategy and team goals
  • Responsible for team activity timelines (creation and maintenance of the integrated program plan), strong team management, collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Play an important role in communication by leading project management efforts including leading face-to-face meetings, development of agendas, creation of meeting minutes, tracking of action items, and scheduling of follow-up meetings
  • Facilitate cross-functional planning of activities across departments and program teams to align dependencies, schedules, budgets and delivery commitments
  • Help manage team interactions and ensure that input from appropriate team members is obtained to promote informed decision making
  • Proactively identify potential risks, resource constraints, and conflicts that could impact project timelines; collaborate with the development team to develop appropriate solutions
  • Help prepare presentations for executive, board and functional leaders and teams
  • Work as part of a centralized Project Management function, contributing to cross departmental collaboration and continuous process improvement
  • Demonstrate ability to engage and effectively influence team members

What we're looking for

  • B.S degree in relevant life science discipline with at least 5 years relevant industry experience, and 3 years' experience in a project management and/or leadership experience supporting/leading cross-functional teams in a scientific environment
  • Thorough understanding of drug development at all stages across research and development
  • Early stage CMC experience
  • Cell or Gene therapy experience
  • Leadership skills to be effective in a matrixed organization with geographically dispersed teams

What will separate you from the crowd

  • IND filing and Phase I experience
  • Experience in multiple therapeutic areas
  • PMP certification
  • Change management certification

What you should know

  • Travel – up to 20% to other Sana locations
  • Working safely in person on a predictable and regular in-person basis is an essential job function for this position, and the Company requires that all individuals working in-person be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including receipt of a vaccine booster shot if recommended by the CDC

How we work together

  • Lead from every seat – we seek to understand, act with honesty, and engage in the crucial conversations
  • Thrive as a team – we hire amazing people, are intensely curious, and cultivate inclusion and personal connectivity
  • Make it happen – we value vigorous debate, alignment around our decisions, and resilient execution
