POSITION:

We are seeking for an innovative Automation engineer for our compound management group to enable an efficient compound distribution network that will accelerate Entos drug discovery engine. This is a great opportunity to learn a wide array of automation and instrumentation and to work in an intensely collaborative, multidisciplinary, team-based setting. It is also an opportunity to have a significant impact as we build the best compound management platform. The successful candidate will establish partnerships with cross-functional teams working on automated and high-throughput experimentation across chemistry, biology, and analytical workflows.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES::

• Assist with building out the compound management operations at Entos

• Receive, process, and distribute small molecule compounds across the organization

• Build and maintain an inventory of stock solutions and solids

• Fulfill requests for solid or liquid material in multiple formats

• Prepare external shipments of compounds to collaborators

• Leverage automation to enable multiple workflows including assay ready plate production

• Maintain and troubleshoot the automation to ensure quality is delivered

• Assist with the implementation of our automated chemical synthesis platform

• Maintain a properly segregated reagent room ensuring the highest safety standards

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS::

• A BS/MS or equivalent degree in chemical, biological, engineering sciences or related field with 2+ years working full time in a laboratory setting

• Previous experience operating, programming, and troubleshooting various instrumentation including weigh stations, automated compound stores, liquid handlers, acoustic dispensers is a strong plus

• Proven capabilities to think critically and creatively and to work independently

• Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail is required

• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are required, with ability to work across a range of disciplines including biology, chemistry, and analytical groups
