Overview:   

The Senior Accounts Payable Accountant will be responsible for processing full cycle A/P and month accrual related to the A/P area. You will be working as part of a dynamic team environment as we are implementing Oracle Fusion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Run full-cycle AP operations using Oracle AP Fusion, including vendor relations, purchase orders, 2 and 3-way invoice matching, invoice processing, payments, vendor master data, and reconciliations
  • Review and process invoices, ensuring proper GL, department and product coding into Oracle Fusion
  • Prepare and process online payments for Tax agencies, record payment in Oracle Fusion
  • Prepare weekly check run using different payment methods - Checks, ACH (CTX/PPD), Wires for US and non-USD invoices
  • Prepare and distribute Open PO Reports and Invoice Detail Reports for month-end accrual analysis
  • Support quarterly and annual external audits by providing requested supports and documentation
  • Meet A/P deadlines while ensuring that payables transactions are being coded accurately and processed efficiently
  • Maintain the 1099 data for vendors and own the preparation of annual 1099 and other AP compliance reporting requirements
  • Act as the "face" of the Accounts Payable team - Build productive relationships with key stakeholders across Coherus to promote and deliver a high level of proactive service.
  • Help Procurement manage specific vendor data (W-9's, banking information, etc.).
  • Manage sales and use tax and VAT
  • Assist Sr. GL Accountant in preparing 571-L Business Property Tax for 5 counties
  • Comply with and promote corporate policies, procedures, and ensure with internal controls
  • Partner with the Procurement team to resolve invoice issues to ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Support AP month-end closing pre and post processes, AP-related accruals, corrections, and reconciliation of unprocessed invoices.
  • Help prepare all AP-related monthly journal entries, balance sheet AP reconciliations, and flux analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience (5+ years at a high-growth technology/biotechnology company preferred)
  • Must have ERP AP systems experience (Oracle Fusion) or similar ERP system
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the company and externally, combined with a client-service attitude.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, ability to link information together, and solution-oriented individual.
  • Self-motivated individual with demonstrated experience and continuous desire to improve and streamline processes.
  • Must be adaptable, agile, multi-task, and take on additional responsibilities as necessary.
  • Exhibit a sense of urgency to achieve department goals, resolve issues, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize various responsibilities with short deadlines
  • Strong attention to details
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment
