Sample Management Specialist - oncology (1 of 2)

Regeneron is seeking a hard-working Sample Management Specialist to add to is growing team. You independently perform sample management activities in their area. Leads operation of automated sample storage systems, facilitating the import/export of samples using the system user interface and integration with LIMS. Lead operation of liquid handling systems to facilitate the sub-aliquoting of samples to support bioanalytical and research needs.

• Interprets subject treatment information and enters information into LIMS. May assist in the request and maintenance of blinded treatment information from Biostatistics and Data Management.
• Performs the accessioning and receipt of non-clinical/clinical samples by assessing and verifying data, both manually and applying Microsoft VBA tools. Has extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and can independently analyze discrepancies in sample metadata.
• Fulfills clinical and/or non-clinical sample requests to support bioanalysis results as well as company-wide research initiatives. Assists in facilitating sample transfer documentation and review, as applicable.
• Facilitates data reporting needs for clinical/non-clinical/research study queries surrounding sample inventory.
• Performs reconciliation of study samples to push results forward.
• Works closely with Quality Control (QC) to address findings and ensure data is collected appropriately in LIMS. Active participant in development, testing, validation, and implementation of new LIMS functionalities
• May review and/or edit sample collection instructions to be incorporated in the study lab manual.
• Completes and troubleshoots Test Plans in collaboration with IT to facilitate change control activities.
• Proactively participates in efforts to improve both physical and electronic inventory management systems.
• Understand the ELN and uses it for data documentation.
• Ensures a state of audit readiness. Actively participates in the preparation of supporting documents for Quality Assurance & Auditing (QAA), as applicable. May participate in study audit activities.
• Communicates with CRO’s and third-party vendors to supporting sample management responsibilities.
• Ensures compliance and accurate documentation in accordance with working instructions, SOPs, and applicable regulations.
• Participates in sub-group and/or department meetings, clearly communicates context and conclusion of work and may present at departmental meetings. May draft abstracts and present posters at external meetings.

• Have a sophisticated knowledge of LIMS software. Carries out LIMS functions to support sample management activities, including study creation based on protocols and supporting documents.
• You have a BS degree with 7+ years experience or a MS degree with 5+ years of lab related experience.
