Performs a variety of activities in support of manufacturing. May interact with functional areas such as finance, purchasing, or human resources for a specific project/business/technical or manufacturing unit. Gathers, collects, records, tracks, and verifies data and information from multiple sources. Accuracy and attention to detail are critical. Compiles and reviews data from multiple business areas. Uses software for functional areas, to compile and generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence, and presentations. May provide data and information to others on functional unit processes and procedures.How You Will Achieve It
Analyzes/designs sequence of operations and workflow to improve the company's production facilities within regulations and GMP guidelines. Activities may include process monitoring, safety, and environmental improvements, troubleshooting, process reliability improvements, validation, and technology transfers. May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may train personnel concerning all phases of production operations. Conducts studies about cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. Based on these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods. May assist project managers or engineers in the planning and design of equipment and facilities.
Functional/Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of basic discipline. Limited knowledge of industry practices and standards. The focus is on overseeing defined processes.
Problem Solving and Innovation: Develop solutions to routine problems following established Pfizer policies and procedures.
Discretion, Latitude, Level of Independence: Closely supervised. Follows specific instructions.
Impact and Organizational Contribution: Contribute to the completion of routine tasks.
Teamwork/Influence: Contacts are primarily within an immediate work group or normal process-related workflow.
Period of Work: Daily tasks and deliverables. Results can usually be measured on a daily or weekly basis.Qualifications
- Education: Applicant must have six years of relevant experience, OR an Associate's degree with four years of experience; OR a Bachelor's degree with 0-2 years of experience.
- Language Skills: Effective written and oral communication.
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Applications.
- Experience in a GMP and PSM-covered environment.
- Experience supporting small laboratory-scale production
- Demonstrate proficiency in computerized systems, experience and use of Laboratory Information Management System and Quality Tracking System
Physical Demands: Frequent time in both manufacturing and office environments. The manufacturing environment includes equipment with moving parts. Must be able to perform gowning requirements for entry in the manufacturing areas.
Requires lifting, sitting, standing, walking, stair climbing, and roof access. Must be available to support 24/7 – 365 operation.
Work Environment: Office environment, with frequent time in the manufacturing areas. Possible exposure to high noise environments, solvents, and pharmaceutical ingredients. Use of hearing and eye protection is required. Must be available to support 24/7 – 365 operation.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL, OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
The role supports a 24-hour production environment. Primary responsibilities occur M-F during normal working hours. Some off-hour and holiday coverage may be required.Additional Job Details
